Meyer goes six innings, with seven strikeouts and just one walk. He did surrender eight hits, including three doubles.

Sano and Buxton just went yard like two minutes apart. I'm guessing they have some back-to-back home runs in their futures.

I don't see Sano and Buxton batting next to each other...but who knows, I don't have enough knowledge of everyone in the Twins system.

 

So somebody give me your 2015 line up for the twins when Buxton arrives. I think Buxton is up mid 2015 so the Twins get 6 1/2 years out of him before FA.

If Buxton develops as it seems he might, he could easily be a #3 hitter, with Sano #4.

 

I don't think that will be in 2015 though.

Buxton and Sano could (should?) both be up in 2015 but they will probably both have some slumps and might not be batting 3/4. It's also possible that buxton bats leadoff out of necessity for a couple of years.

I see Buxton as a leadoff guy at least to start his career. Like Kirby, he could become a #3 hitter, although Buxton has that great speed.

All minor league teams have won/are winning. Lots of highlights. Meyer 6 solid IP, 7 Ks. Buxton HR, SB, now hitting .410, Sano went yard, Baxendale another win (2R in 6 IP), Rosario three hits, Michael two triples. Joe Benson had two hits and four runs scored.

I think it depends on whether he develops 10 HR power or 20 HR power. Regardless if he realizes his potential then the Twins will have a great player regardless of where he bats.

Crazy! Now hitting .419. Some race horses are "mudders", maybe Buxton is a "cold mudder". Can hardly wait until it warms uo in Iowa!
