I'm only monitoring the game via the box score.  What was the nature of Buxton's HBP?  Didn't seem to require a pinch runner, thank goodness.

He gets way too many of those for my liking.

nothing major, it was a graze at best, but HBP is HBP! he's totally fine!

A ball thrown by the Seattle pitcher struck Buxton while Buxton was batting. That results in a dead ball and Buxton was awarded 1st base.

Buxton's HBP was a fastball that tore into his uniform and flesh.  The laceration was quickly scotched taped.  After 15 minutes of walking it off and 50 pushups, he returned to first base.  It will be evaluated after the game, at which time Baldelli will put him on the IL.

Why are they mad about it? I'm okay with it. He's on the team, he needs to play and I think he's earned it here and there
