No one hates Rosario.....some of just look at the outcomes and think he's not all that great, and certainly not worth what this team would have had to pay him. Also, what if he is here? What REALLY changes? Like, less hits from the corner OF, but other than that?

Larnach is slow afoot, weaker arm and has yet to show he is as good with a bat.

I would bet a large amount the Astudillo would have caught the ball Jeffers just missed; half of the twins newbies fielding skills are still in A ball.

Don't feel bad, Mike, we all often wonder what the **** you said.

I'm not watching this live, but I'd be interested in knowing what Berrios composure looked like during the Goodwin PA.  He often seems to need an injection of ice in his veins when bad things happen so that the snowball doesn't come rolling down the hill.

Of all the things to question the FO about--and there are a lot of those things--not retaining Rosario is pretty far down the list.

But an underperforming eighth corner fielder could have pushed this team over the top, 28th place pitching staff be damned.

He's significantly outperforming Rosario with the bat this season, which I'm pretty sure matters when speaking about which corner outfielder the Twins should have this season.

boston leads the royals 15-0 in the 9th. royals about to lose their 9th straight.

this weekend should be a doozy

so much for me deleting that fast.....

I'm not sure what that "yet to show" part means....of course he hasn't shown anything yet. He's barely been up. But he's 100% outhit Rosario this year so far. And it isn't close.

That sure was a fine curveball that the umpire missed.

We got into the middle innings today without this comment.

Is this code for "buy more Scotch"?

Because that's what I read.

Jeffers should have caught that - seemed to be shy about the impending danger of the rail, but I would take that bet in a heartbeat. Alas, we will never know as Astudillo is batting under .200 in St. Paul.

I'm actually quite a fan of Rosario, I merely refuse to bestow mythical greatness on his ability to get everyone around him to overperform.

I didn’t really say that either, those qualities are very rare, like Brett Favre with the  2009 Vikings. And I know he made some defensive blunders, but if that’s why the Twins got rid of him they  overlooked a few, this years defense is horrible. But he was a good clutch hitter, something the Twins desperately need.

Rosario as 45 rbi, and seven stolen bases with a batting average that was 4 points higher than Larnac, so it seems you are wrong.

Pro tip: the cheap stuff works just fine, and is more befitting the situation.

He wasn't really clutch, though. He was pretty close to the same guy all the time, which was fine, he was a pretty good player some years.

Of Eddie's 7 seasons, he's hit the same or worse in clutch situations 5 years (including this one) than he did in normal ones.

I see you left out the part where Larnach's OPS is literally 102 points higher than Rosario's.

Don't worry, I save the good stuff for the playoffs.  I'll save lots of money this year.

Which is better than a whole team performing consistently worse in those situations

I was thinking something a little more cringeworthy.  That seems too pleasant of a description.  But, I'm not sure that you're wrong.

I will take 45 rbi over any computer geek number that Baldelli is using to turn the Twins into a farce.
