John Bonnes Site Manager Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Stumbled across this story this morning. The Twins have signed Patrick Arnold, a former Nationals farmhand. His minor league numbers don't exactly jump out. Sure enough, he's coming back from an injury. But he seems like a quality guy who is pretty involved with his community: Arnold’s also helping encourage young baseball players to continue playing the game here closer to home. The West Virginia Baseball Conference will field teams for 13- to 14-year-old kids, and the games will be played at the Kennedy Center along Route 2 outside of Huntington. If you’re interested in signing up, contact Dan’s Sports Shop at (304) 523-1974. Welcome to the Twins, Patrick. http://www.wsaz.com/sports/headlines/Former-HHS-Pitching-Standout-Patrick-Arnold-Signed-to-Pros-192187531.html
