John Bonnes Site Manager Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Twins may add another rotation candidate | twinsbaseball.com: News Twins general manager Terry Ryan hinted he might not be done making moves before pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Feb. 10. Ryan, speaking at the annual media luncheon on Friday at Target Field, said there's still a chance the Twins will add pitching help. "We still have our eye on the free-agent market," Ryan said. "There are a couple of guys who are of interest to us. So we'll continue to look."

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I'm guessing its Saunders to a major league contract, and either Pavano or Webb to a minor league deal.
johnnydakota Verified Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ok i know its off subject , but what is the fallback plan if hicks and parmelee are not ready this year?would it make sense to have another outfielder ready some where?
johnnydakota Verified Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Pavano! well if its Carl the stache Pavano , then we know which pretty darn good pitcher Terry was chasing all off season
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Ok i know its off subject , but what is the fallback plan if hicks and parmelee are not ready this year?would it make sense to have another outfielder ready some where? There is zero reason to really go after any other OF. Brandon Boggs was actually a decent acquisition. Wilkin Ramirez is another internal option. I don't really think much would be lost if Hicks waited awhile. Parmelee has to be worked in enough to matter though.
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Saunders and Webb are the two.
gil4 Verified Member Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 what is the fallback plan if hicks and parmelee are not ready this year?I think the plan if they aren't ready is to fall back to 99+ losses.
