Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Happy to survive that inning with only 1 run allowed.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Credit to Wisler. He gave up a run, but Buxton dropped a ball, got squeezed, and La Tortuga allowed a passed ball
Tovar12 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Usually with Buxton, he never leaves the game at the point of injury. In fact, he typically finishes the game and then goes on the IR the next day.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I hate to say it, but Cave would have caught it.I'm sorry, "Buxton catches that" was the answer we were looking for.
twins_89 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 What the hell is up with Buck? That's the second time this season he missed a ball he almost had in his glove. Both times the ball bounced off the heal of Buxton's glove. He was in position to make the play he just miss fired on the catch.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I think he's been almost perfect.Agree to disagree. That one he called a ball was a strike earlier

TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Nice. Let’s get that run back
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Good AB, Sano-zee.
Tovar12 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Too close to call. Safe on the pickoff, right?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Eddie with yet another TOOTBLAN
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Uffda, Rosario. Lazy. If he dives, it's not even close.
70charger Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Rough inning for Wisler. Squeezed on a couple pitches on the walk. A passed ball from Tortuga. And a fly ball that Buxton is going to say he should have caught. To be fair, he should have caught that. Apparently the Twins have been working with him quite a bit on his approach to the wall to avoid having him get hurt. It seems like it backfired in this case, given that his approach to that ball was sort of awkward and weird, and he didn't catch the ball anyway. Oh well. Two steps forward for one step back. I'll take a few missed catches this year if he's better about approaching the wall for the rest of his career.

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I hate to say it, but Cave would have caught it. My first thought was, “If he gets there.” But in going back to look at it, you’re probably right. It wasn’t an easy play, but it wasn’t as tough as it looked. So on this rare occasion, Buxton cost us a run. But I think it’s also less than 50/50 that Cave takes Plesac deep.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Kinda pushing it with another inning for Wisler, no? 24 pitches already.

I don't think Cave gets to it. According to statcast it had an xBA of .780
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I like giving Wisler a second inning.

Linus Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Eddie. How do you get picked off with a 6 foot lead? Wow.
TFRazor Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Score check. Even if we win we’re just hangin with the tighty whities. They’re up 14-0
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I’m also cool with Wisler getting an inning and a third. Now, let’s have Clippard get a quick two outs, the offense get another two runs, and Clippard gets the eighth. Not that I get too particular with my requests...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 If you do this right, Twins, you won't see the top of the order again this game.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Sad day here in the Chief household, a good friend of ours drowned in a tragic boating accident a few days ago, and the funeral was today. We put a lifejacket on his casket, it's what he would have wanted.
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 According to Do-Hyoung Park the Twins have announced right forearm injury and will examine him further.
