John Bonnes Site Manager Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Local baseball author Peter Schilling Jr. wrote up a story about the 87 Twins for MinnPost, commemorating the 25th anniversary of their World Series win. It's interesting because he readily admits he didn't live here then, so it's viewed as an outsider, and more clear just how insane this town went. http://www.minnpost.com/minnesota-history/2012/10/87-twins-turned-towns-upside-down
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I still have my Homer Hankie from '87. Wasn't able to go to any of the games but a friend of mine got me one. Does anyone remember going to a 'spontaneous' rally at the Dome after the Twins won the AL against the Tigers? All of it, fun times.
