You are correct, but they've barely played anybody with a winning record. They've played a combined 5 games against Houston and Arizona and lost all 5.

Interesting to see how the Yankees are using Ottavino here. Put their best man in the game in the 6th & likely 7th inning, giving the Twins little chance to make it close before the 9th.

I ****ing hate seeing Ottavino pitching against us. We should have signed him. The fact that he makes about the same salary as Reed is an indictment on this FO.

Agreed...he or one of another 5 or 6 guys. But give it up for a dude wearing #0! That is just cool!

Otto has incredible stuff. I definitely like a lot of what the FO has done. But this . . . .

Man, I haven't seen Twins fans this negative in a long time. This is ONE game. 

 

Minnesota Joe Twins fan has been thinking about this game all day. Blew off that cute redhead in accounting for a cozy night in front of the tube. Maybe left work early, stopped off and picked up a few brats. Grilled out, filled up that paper plate with so much potato salad that the plate bent when they carried it to the living room. Cracked open an bubbly beverage just as the pregame ended. Put up their feet, relaxed....and the Twins promptly laid an egg in what is possibly the worst baseball game of the season.

 

I think we all know it's just a bad game. But I think the swirling negativity is probably just a reaction to what appears to be a Friday night wasted.

Admit I was hoping Reed was finally getting his shot. (Then he had a bad game). Don't have numbers in front of me...frankly feeling too lazy to look them up...but as I recall didn't Morin have a couple really solid years before injury?

Why didn't he ask the red head over to watch the game ... then, when things went south ... etc.

Call me crazy, but a month from now, I HAVE to wonder how the pen looks with Romero settling in and Magill settling in both. I know it's a different discussion, but I have this crazy/hopeful thought Johnson is going to take Magill's mid 90's FB and slurve and find greater consistency.

Twins gonna get 2-hit tonight. Rocco brought the "B" lineup, Gibby slow as molasses, this team is sleepwalking through this game.

 

We need La Tortuga back. Someone with a little fire who gives 100% for 9 innings.
