jimmer Verified Member Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Holy Cow. It's only been three years since I went to TF. The tickets I paid 75 for then are now 102. They have a lot of nerve.

So first, are you sure you aren't comparing an Orioles game three years ago to a Yankees game this time? That and there are more "sections" now that used to be part of other sections (example 101-103 were all the same price and now 103 has a new section name and price). And the closer you sit to the field the more you will pay now. So someone in row five will pay more than someone in row 25 even though it's the same section. That's only on the lower level foul territory sections. You'll see the different colors in the section in a map in the article below. Hard to tell if the aggregate is completely neutral - by a map it might be neutral, while if going by actual seat locations sold it might be a net increase in price. E.g. maybe Jimmer had sagely picked out a nice bargain the past and now the revenue management software has picked up the pattern and adjusted, while the unsold seats just behind him might be going for less but they weren't being snapped up anyway.

Oh wait, they don't do those.
