Moyer won almost twice as many games as Santana (269 vs 139) and is 35th all time in that category

 

They are not comparable, Santana was the better pitcher, but neither is on the top 10-15 of candidates in that ballot.  Thus the same percentage of votes

A shame that Santana didn't get more votes than Moyer. How many years did Moyer pitch in the majors? More than 20? He was still going well into his 40s, so that was more longevity than actual talent. Hew was certainly a good, reliable pitcher, but not an elite one. Yes, Santana was the superior pitcher, just a shame about the injuries and relatively short career. But man, a third Cy Young award would have been hard to overlook!

I think Moyer deserves a place in the hall. It takes talent and determination to be pitching in the bigs at 48.
