Game Thread: Twins @ Royals; 6:15 CDT, 9/9/17

[h2oface]

Three of Escobar's called balls, were strikes. Pitches 1,2,3. Then on a 3-0 count, the ump called the close ball, a strike. 4 in a row, wrong. Tough day for the plate umpire.

Gap one somewhere, Jason.

[jimbo92107]

Berrios is acting distracted, like he feels like he should be somewhere else... like helping people at home.

Thanks for pointing that out. One does wonder how these hurricanes are affecting players. James Rowson was let go home to Florida to be with his family right now.

[USAFChief]

STOP TAKING STRIKE 1!!

[howeda7]

This 7 game over curse is getting tiresome. 5th chance to go 8 games over...let's get it done.

[Aggies7]

Simply horrendous strike 3 call

[spinowner]

How about THAT called third strike?

Where does he live? Hasn't the storm been past PR for a couple days already?

[USAFChief]

looked like ball 3 from my living room

[howeda7]

BYRON

[IndianaTwin]

BB!

Or should I say...

B²!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Can we squeeze one more inning out of Berrios tonight? He has been pretty shaky.

[spinowner]

Dangit, another hit after a failed steal. But way to go BUCK!

[howeda7]

We've run ourselves out of at least 2 runs. Ugh.

[USAFChief]

Pretty solid AB for Buxton.

[h2oface]

Should be 3-1. Damn stolen base attempts by Rosario.

Should be about 7-4, KC

[h2oface]

Andy Fletcher needs a new job. At least keep him from behind the plate. Just horrible.

[spinowner]

Leadoff single? No sweat.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

This performance tonight redefines "quality start"

[USAFChief]

8 GIDP for KC in 2.5 games.

If I was a KC fan, I'd need a new TV and a new laptop by now.

[howeda7]

I assume Hildy and Belisle are both unavailable tonight?

And again?

[spinowner]

OK boys let's make something out of this.

[IndianaTwin]

This would be a really good time to hit a ball really far.

<edit>

Farther than that.
