bighat Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Scoring just 1 with the bases loaded and 0 outs early on is certainly coming back to bite the Twins today. Need the 'pen to come through and a big hit! Let's do this!
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 It's beautiful outside. How are you guys typing with lawnmowers, wheelbarrows and hedge trimmers in your hands? I'm just taking (another) beer break.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 You don't walk guys hitting .159.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 and now you bring in RH Sano.Probably so. I would have sent Rosario stealing. Anything to shake up another stagnant inning.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Longoria has struggled this series.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Molitor going to manage us out of the inning by bunting and wasting pinch hitters?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Sorry for the negativity Hopefully Kepler goes yard and makes it besides the point
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I think we're doing a little too much thinking this early in the game. I don't like PH Sano for Vargas (or Buxton PRing for that matter)
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Interesting move here. To say that Sano is slumping is an understatement.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I like this deep bench we suddenly have...

I don't like PH Sano for Vargas (or Buxton PRing for that matter)Buxton running meh. Pinch hitting Sano. Don't get it. You let Mauer hit. You let Kepler hit. Pinch hit for Vargas who has actually hit LHP better than RHP in his career? Paul Molitor needs to get out of Kennys Vargas' way.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Honestly just send Buxton to steal home. The traditional baseball moves are not working right now.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Did Sanó get announced before they changed pitchers? It's the only way I hit for Vargas. I liked Buxton for Grossman and a fly ball would have done the trick from Sanó, but right now that's asking a lot.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I wonder if Taylor Rogers would become an All Star if he started doing pilates...
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Cannot imagine how Molly could possibly make it more clear to Vargas that he has no confidence in him. Bat a guy who has struck out his last 7 plate appearances.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Wow, ultimate tough dig by Mauer. That was the worst kind of tweener bounce, and on the grass, too.
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Pretty sure Joe pulled his foot off the bag on that terrible Adrianna throw
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I'm hoping Rogers said "Thanks, Joe" on the way to the dugout.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 I really try to respect the Manager's instincts since he can only manage like he does. It would be hard for a manager to manage like someone else. However... Sano had struck out 7 times in a row and you just needed contact with a runner on third. The worst result is a strikeout and you went with the guy who is perhaps most likely to do that. He takes out his hottest hitter and puts in his coldest. (not a slam on Sano... He's amazing but he is struggling right now). When he does things like that... It seems to say... I don't trust Vargas no matter what he does.
Whammy Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 3rd sac bunt of the season..... on our 100th try
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 Hate the bunt with Adrianza on deck and a slow runner on the bases.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 "Right now Dozier would trade 42 home runs for a single." Dumbest statement of the year? Verbal equivalent of Souza's dive?
Guest Guests Posted May 27, 2017 Posted May 27, 2017 The sacrifice bunt helps the homer - it prevented a double play! That's stratergery!
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
