Buxton running meh. Pinch hitting Sano. Don't get it. You let Mauer hit. You let Kepler hit. Pinch hit for Vargas who has actually hit LHP better than RHP in his career?

Did Sanó get announced before they changed pitchers? It's the only way I hit for Vargas. I liked Buxton for Grossman and a fly ball would have done the trick from Sanó, but right now that's asking a lot.

Cannot imagine how Molly could possibly make it more clear to Vargas that he has no confidence in him. Bat a guy who has struck out his last 7 plate appearances.

I really try to respect the Manager's instincts since he can only manage like he does. It would be hard for a manager to manage like someone else. 

 

However... Sano had struck out 7 times in a row and you just needed contact with a runner on third.

 

The worst result is a strikeout and you went with the guy who is perhaps most likely to do that.  

 

He takes out his hottest hitter and puts in his coldest. (not a slam on Sano... He's amazing but he is struggling right now). 

 

When he does things like that... It seems to say... I don't trust Vargas no matter what he does.
