While I wish there would have been more Twins players mentioned, it kind of mirrors my thoughts on the Twins prospects right now.

 

The Top 5 are legit prospects, and then there is a big gap to get to #6...

He's always been the high guy on him I think, but Jose De Leon at #8.

Considering all the graduations 5 top 100 guys isn't terrible. I just wish some of the recent graduates were doing better

This list doesn't signal a relative strength or relative weakness in the pipeline. It simply tells us where we are in the cycle. Sickles pretty much agrees with the consensus, from what I can see, other than perhaps holding off judgment about Wander Javier and maybe having a slightly lower opinion of Kohl Stewart than one or two other publishers. No surprises.

3 top 100 would be average, 5 is very nice except none in the top 40. 6 in the top 200 is okay. I think this is all just a sign of all the high talent recent grads and how far down the system the REALLY talented guys are still. I think our minors system is fine and we at TD have just been spoiled by the last couple years.

 

What we REALLY need as a team is the rookies and sophomores to develop into all star vets and some Starting pitching talent to pan out for once.
