Berardino: Boras on new Twins front office, and more

Berardino's had a main story with a few additional mini-stories and this article is one of them.

He asked Scott Boras his thoughts on the Twins transition from Terry Ryan to the Falvey/Levine regime. Boras, of course, was complimentary of both, while also noting their differences.

He also wrote about the coaching situation, with Falvey's thoughts on why Neil Allen was retained, and some hitting coach names to watch.

Thanks for sharing Seth. I do find the Boras relationship interesting. I wonder how our lens onto those dealings is shaded by our comfort with TR.

The more we learn about Falvey and Levine, the more it makes sense with what my understanding of the already existing organization/Pohlad.

Pohlad and St Peter both seem pretty conservative, but also clearly see the need for change. Falveys approach so far (it's really early) seems rather gentle. It doesn't appear that Falvey came in with a ton of preconceived notions and is apparently willing to let the process work itself out.

I wonder if Berardino asked Boras about the Alex Meyer situation last year. With the Twins limited interaction with Boras repped players, I would think it would have been brought up. Perhaps he got a 'No comment'.z

Jacque Jones and Butch Wynegar are names to watch for hitting coach huh?

I hope that is Beradino speculation, and not inside information. I was hoping this insistence on Twins connections was going to be over now.
