Platoon Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I actually used the Six Fat because of the cool name, the best was the Jolly Brothers in my early drinking days. And theirs! It wasn't The Doors or anything, but it was fun.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Our next door neighbor was the traveling secretary for the Whoopee John Band. Small world My dad always said, "Whoopee John Wilhfart, and the boys will play"

Blake Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I didn't know there were that many gibbons in Minny. Is it an exclusive club, or can anybody go? They let Chief in, so, I think the answer is obvious.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Bruno with the great advice!
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 First concert: Neil Young "Rust Never Sleeps" tour. I had just moved to the Cities and had to find my way to the Civic Center. Somehow, I wound up down by the river in the process. I brought pot, but, as it turned out, it wasn't really necessary. I was a contractor, setting up the infield seating stands at the Metrodome for the Timberwolves inaugural season. It seems like there should be a third item in this list, but, I got nothing. I got that way with pot too, parts of the day, week, month..... Slipped away. But as all can see I have recovered nicely.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I've been to so many concerts that I'm having trouble recalling my first one. I think it was BOC and Rush... I remember BOC but I think I passed out before Rush hit the stage.

David HK Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Geez-Louise. Whit Merrifield? Cheslor Cuthbert ? It's like an all-Omega lineup out there.

Platoon Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Speaking of Sleepy Eye, during last nights rain delay they did a bit about the time Babe Ruth barnstormed there.
bird Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Luckily we haven't run into each other. Trust me, you two came real close one time.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Wow. me too. You're having an affair with Ash's first wife, too? That's kinda ...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 How the **** did they win 83 games last year? That might be the biggest overachievement in baseball history.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Trust me, you two came real close one time. So you were the guy in the closet?

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 It's interesting how other teams seem to be really good at hitting and the twins aren't very skilled at it, so it seems. Wonder what gives
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Yea, they have more power than a TSA agent, and almost as much common sense! Hey, be nice to Ash, Chief and Brian. Some just have more difficulties.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 The crowd looks enthused.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Fun start, eh?We're all about fun starts!
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Speaking of Sleepy Eye, during last nights rain delay they did a bit about the time Babe Ruth barnstormed there.A guy had a ball that Ruth autographed from that time and was recently in the news. He is in his 90's and lives in Arizona if I remember.
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 What can Terry do? What can Paul do? Quit or get fired?
David HK Verified Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 My sister married and has lived in Sleepy Eye for years. Never thought I'd see Sleepy Eye in a game thread Love Love Love the "Fargo" TV series. So many H'wood types really rockin' the Dakota/ 'Sota kinda speech. But when they gaffe, it stands out- like last season, they mentioned Sleepy Eye a couple of times, but with the accent on the EYE. "We're calling in the deputies from Sleepy EYE. I think they headed in the direction of Sleepy EYE..." Made me bark back out loud at the TV to correct them in the moment.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Good inning. It wasn't 5 runs, that's something.
