Pitz Verified Member Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 This rotation doesn't have enough quality to fill out a 5 man rotation much less give inferior pitchers starts that the better ones could take.Maybe, maybe not - but the argument for the 6-man would be to get guys experience and evaluate the quality they have for moving forward. Trevor May would be much more valuable as a starter - can he do it? It's also time to settle whether Meyer can be a viable big league starter. Santana, Gibson, Duffey, Berrios, Meyer, May - that's the 6-man rotation I'd envision for the rest of this year.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Exhibition games aside. Duffey has delivered on the promise he showed from a year ago. It would be a grave mistake for the Twins to demote him once one of their disabled starting pitchers is healthy. Duffey should be starting over Gibson, Hughes and Nolasco... no exceptions.
