Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Naysayers: Escobar's slugging percent is due for regression Escobar: Just watch me
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 If they let Suzuki hit this inning.....Son of A!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 If they let Suzuki hit this inning.....We can recycle game 1 (over) reaction thread points. I don't understand why he's hitting right now.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Here goes strike 3 for Zuke...
howeda7 Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 So apparently we have a bench we're never going to use? Come on Gardy...
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Again, what is the point of even having a bench if you aren't going to PH for your worst hitter in the bottom of the 9th?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I keep dreading the day that some well-meaning teammate or fan discloses that his Baseball Prospectus ceiling was supposed to be 'light-hitting utility infielder'. I mean, what if he's a huge BProp fan, and he's like "Those guys know what they're talking about, I'm probably trying to do too much", and the next thing you know, he's a Nishi-riffic utility infielder again.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Son of A! Yeah That would have been a pinch hitting spot for me Unless I was saving the pinch hit for Buxto... Well now I'm completely confused
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 At the risk of overreacting... W. T. F. MOLLY? WWWW. TTTTT. FFFFFFFFFF??
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 WTF, the ump was calling that pitch a ball for twins pitchers
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Yeah That would have been a pinch hitting spot for me Unless I was saving the pinch hit for Buxto... Well now I'm completely confusedYou could even use both!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Couple of BS inconsistent strike calls there
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Again, what is the point of even having a bench if you aren't going to PH for your worst hitter in the bottom of the 9th? Emotional support for the failed batter's inevitably quick return to the dugout? Hey, c'mon, it's a long season, and we don't want Molly hurt the feelings of any Twin by PH'ing for them at least until after a couple of hundred absolutely futile AB's...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Not to worry. Doz's got this.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Well that is the problem with a two outcome player, when he isn't doubling he is striking out.
a-wan Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 If that was the Royals or Diamondbacks the Orioles would have to worry about retaliation. #cutter
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Well now I'm completely confused It's looking more and more like Molitor is the confused one.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 It's looking more and more like Molitor is the confused one. Let's think this through OK... Teachable moment for Buxton? Suzuki? Vet... Been through this before... Not going to panic or try to do too much? Maybe? Nah Molitor nodded off in the dugout is the only explanation. Sleep Apnea maybe?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Send Santana? Single then ties it. I do admit to some confusion though...we don't PH for Suzuki or Buxton, but we pinch run for Dozier.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 On most teams, the first baseman coming to the plate with the game on the line would be a good thing...
Jham Verified Member Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I can live with game ending on an aggressive base running move.
