High school bragging

So, my alma mater has run up a couple of pretty memorable seasons the last couple of years, and they capped it off by winning the first South Dakota state football title in the school's history today. Last year, they ended up leading the nation (yes, really, the nation) in average rushing yards per game at just short of 500 yards per game. In the championship game today, the team went for 404 yards of rushing, including a state record (for any class) of 303 by the team's senior tailback. Congrats Warbirds!!

Yep. Any player that has a decade-long NFL career is something to brag about. On top of that, he's the only Vikings linebacker in 35 years who's been an AP All-Pro.

 

Regardless, my high school has been playing football for over 75 years and this is the first football championship. It's a pretty cool deal.

Not my high school, but my home town is the home town of one of the original Charlie's Angels, Cheryl Ladd.
