I was on the Star Tribune's page today and for whatever reason clicked on the box to see the Twins Leaders.  Apparently their statheads don't believe in having a minimum number of appearances to make lists like these.

 

Guess who is listed as the highest BA???? Pelfrey at .667

 

And to balance that out guess who has the lowest ERA???? Robinson with 0.00

My afternoon chuckle comes from the same website  and seeing the links titled "A suggestion I'm glad I didn't make about the Twins" and "Trade Deadling Makes Twins look smart".  Amazing what a 6-game winning streak will do to all the naysayers.  I'm surprised some fans and bloggers don't have major ACL injuries with all the knee-jerking going on.  Ride the roller coaster, people...that's what baseball seasons are all about!!

Another chuckle:  MLB's ticker line note for the Twins/Rays is this: Hunter's BA since start of July is .172. Lowest in AL, minimum 150 PA.

More chuckles:  After a batter gets a BB, the professional announcer describes it as a nice (and then later a quality) at-bat (instead of a nice quality plate appearance). Announcers still ranking team defense by error totals.  I mean, as nice as the Orioles defense is, KC has the best defense in all of baseball, yet they say Orioles defense is ranked 1st in AL and KC's defense is ranked 6th in AL.
