Game Thread: Twins @ Rays, 8/26, 6:10pm

Chris Herrmann wants to club one so bad, he can taste it.

[Hrbowski]

Why would 9205 people pay to sit in a sewer for three hours?

[LaBombo]

Escobar has gone from utility enigma to "we're not screwed at shortstop for a change" this year.

[clank2000]

Eddie, you beautiful bastard!

I very much wanted to like Punto the ballplayer as much as I liked Punto the story, but in the end it was like trying to appreciate Rudy if he had won a starting role just by constantly rubbing dirt on his uniform and bloodying his own nose.

So you put winning above heart and storyline?  Get with the times my friend.

[Aggies7]

If there is ever any doubt about how profitable the 90s were, just remember that Tampa somehow acquired a Major League Baseball franchise. What a joke.

I want to like Escobar so bad, this really helps

[LaBombo]

You have to remember that about 11% of them are Twins fans...

Play a spring training game there in early March and that ratio reverses...

[Whammy]

Buxton would have beat that out

[DaveW]

Now that's a bunt I don't mind

[Circus Boy]

goat of the game, for the winning streak jinx.

Sorry all. Was feeling pretty good for a moment there.

[twinsnorth49]

Why so negative, son.

Go further back...............keep up, that's my positive version.

[DaveW]

Should have suicide squeezed there

[David HK]

In a completely great way, Escobar is making Ryan and Molitor look like idiots for doggedly sticking with Santana for so long.

I concur, Dr.  I posted a couple of games ago, how the Twinks would be looking if we hadn't had stiffs like Boyer and Thompson pitching so often.  And same thing here.  How would the Twinks look now if Molly had stuck with Esco the whole way this year?  FFS.  Why is it we're so much smarter on TD than in the dugout or the FO on this?  I guess they're just dumberer.

[clank2000]

I'll never understand that play.

[Whammy]

No activity in the Twins Pen?!?!

[mikecgrimes]

Wish he would have tried to score that awful throw would have turned into the pitcher taking Hermann out with a football like hit.

[David HK]

Maybe the Heinkels were sighted over TBay, and this is the designated shelter.

[twinsnorth49]

Pop up bunt over the pitchers head was the clear call, what were they thinking?

[David HK]

No activity in the Twins Pen?!?!

Boyer out again

guess the outfielders running into each other will do instead.

[twinsnorth49]

The guy in row 27  of section 316 is still wondering how he ended up paying $18.75 for his ticket to the Trop tonight.

Math....it's hard.

Dorniers and Ju-88's too.   No Stukas, though,   Going after more high value targets.

[Aggies7]

If only the twins had won one stinking game in NY.

I guess every team can say that at this point though.

Boyer is the 8th inning guy which enables May to go back to his proper role as the mop.

[TwinsCD]

Why isn't May in this game??????
