No reason not to bring him on the 40-man and let him be a middle reliever right now. Stauffer and Duensing are terrible, Graham should be sent to AAA after a trade is worked out, and eventually one would think that Boyer comes down to earth and Fien is traded.

Oliveros does not have similar stuff to Anthony Slama. End of discussion.

Three games started and four games finished for Rochester this year. Weird usage of a guy who could be a good-very good setup man in the majors right now. Oliveros is delivering a 11.3 K/9 rate and 2.7 BB/9 rate. Not sure how this Duensing and Stauffer nonsense continues.

Oliveros was back in the bullpen tonight after another horrific start (he didn't record an out) on the 12th. Hopefully that is finally done.

 

We'll see how long Blaine Boyer lasts.

Does anyone know why in the world he was starting? Was it due to a temporary roster situation? Or is it just another bad idea, gone bad? Btw, I have heard about the Twins looking for power arms in the draft.

Oliveros suffered an injury that shut him down before a potential return to the Twins. I have to imagine that he tries to sign elsewhere, because he is not going to be respected in this organization.
