The young kid was recovering from two serious snake bite wounds and is still in a wheelchair. Axford is the Rockies closer. His son got bit while in AZ for spring training. Hopefully, his recovery continues.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I hate to think of what he went through but I'm glad he is doing well. Who wouldn't love that smiling little face? What a scary ordeal for his family. I guess you have your choice in ST: gators or rattlesnakes. I'm not sure that is much of a choice.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I'll take Florida over Arizona ... gators, for the most part, keep their distance (despite media stores that imply otherwise); and, you can spot a gator where it shouldn't be much more quickly than you would a snake. I have nearly stepped on snakes many times right outside my parents front/back door; I've never nearly stepped on a gator. Although the snakes I've almost stepped on in Florida aren't quite as venomous as a rattler, but still ... heart attack inducing either way.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 I'm so glad he survived! That would be so scary. I can't imagine. Adorable video. I bet that will be little Jameson's earliest memory, and a good one, too. Hope he recovers all the way. And ChiTown, I don't know. I don't really believe this at all, but I've heard that gators ring doorbells. Imagine that. I doubt it's happened before (though who knows, really?), but if people don't stop saying it does, the alligators will get wind of it before long. Then it'll happen for sure.
