Cameron Booser -- 2015

Cameron Booser
DOB: 5-4-92 in Seattle, Washington
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 225
Position: RP
Bats: Left
Throws: Left
Acquired: Signed by Twins as non-drafted free agent on August 12, 2013

2014 statistics (ELZ):

31.1 IP, 2.01 ERA, 12.1 K/9, 4 BB/9 (42/14), 1.340 WHIP

2015 statistics (CDR):

13 IP, 0.69 ERA, 15.92 K/9, 4.15 BB/9, (23/6), 0.92 WHIP

Booser is dominating A ball in the early going right now. He throws around 95 mph. He had TJ surgery back in college in 2011 and had another surgery this past offseason to clean up the elbow. If healthy, he could be a lights-out reliever in the future.

2015 prediction:

Booser looks destined to move to Fort Myers after some of the other bullpen movement at the higher level occurs. 50 IP, 1.80 ERA, 11 K/9, 4 BB/9 and 1.10 WHIP

16.1 IP, 1.10 ERA, 31 strikeouts, eight walks, and a 0.98 WHIP.

I expect Booser to move up soon. The walks are still high, but he is giving up s few hits. Fort Myers could use him right now.

Booser is just dominating.

22.1 IP, 0.83 ERA, 35 strikeouts, 13 walks, and 0.99 WHIP.

It *really* ought to be time for Fort Myers for him. This is now getting ridiculous.

Agree, buy you know there is one number up there that the organization isn't going to like very much.  The 5.2 BB/9 is going to cover up the 3.6 H/9, even though the limit of hits is much more important to preventing runs than the limiting of walks.

You are correct. I really do think that this can be worked out as he moves up, instead of worrying about fixing it right now.

Booser was roughed up in his last outing, but the numbers are still very impressive:

24.2 IP, 1.46 ERA, 37 strikeouts, 17 walks, 1.135 WHIP. It will be interesting to see how he does bouncing back from one outing. After 30 innings, I have to imagine he will be moving to Fort Myers.

Three innings pitched since the last update, with five strikeouts and four walks. Strong season so far, with Fort Myers in the near future.

The last 28 days have been ugly. 14 strikeouts in 12 innings, but also 13 walks.

He is going to have to figure that problem out before he gets promoted, I think.

12.7 K/9.

7.7 BB/9.

Booser is going south here, and this is very alarming. I still think he should start 2016 in Fort Myers with a fresh start, though.
