Winston Smith Verified Member Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 I'm really not sure what this means but payroll always comes up when free agent talk starts. This is a list of what AL teams spent, on payroll, last year for every ticket sold.Again I don't know what it means but it is interesting: 1. Cleveland $58.82. Yankees $583. Toronto $57.84. Detroit $565. White Sox $54.66. Tampa $53.17. Boston $52.38. Angels $49.99. Texas $49.110. KC $47.111. Seattle $43.712. Oakland $41.113. Baltimore $43.614. Twins $3815. Houston $28.8 To be in the middle of the pack the Twins would need to spend about $50 per ticket sold. That would equal a payroll of about $112.5 million. Of course, that doesn't equal more wins would happen.
Paul Pleiss Verified Member Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 This is an interesting list. I don't know what it means, but it means something, to someone, I'm sure. Interesting to see Cleveland and the Bitch Sox in the top 5. Where could I also find information about NL teams concering this same topic?
