Jeremy Nygaard Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 22, 2014 Author Posted October 22, 2014 KYLE GIBSON!!!
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Did you consult your wife, Jeremy? SDBuhr @JimCrikket · 3h3 hours ago @jeremynygaard @SethTweets Fess up. Did you have to drug @kgib44 or kidnap a pet or something to get him to agree? Kyle Gibson @kgib44 · 2h2 hours ago @JimCrikket @jeremynygaard @SethTweets They each agreed to name their next child Kyle for a boy, and Kylie for a girl. Its that easy.
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I have one. For Kyle . Mr Gibson. Kyle, please feel free to tell us what you're real height is, if i'm wrong but, do you feel your height 6'6" .. is a bit of an advantage for being a ground ball guy? Does it definately strike fear or impose some kind of threat to any MLB hitters you have faced thus far? Do you Think you are similar to Rick Porcello , and are you a better pitcher? P.S. Love that you're a Twin and I hope you have a long durable, successful career with the Twins... Should be fun upstarting with this fresh club in the coming years. Thanks (if used or not either way fun and i will be listening)
nater79a Verified Member Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Need to give Kyle a little grief. This season you had the highest ERA differential between wins and losses since Sammy Ellis of the Reds in 1965. 11.07 difference...1.07 in your wins, 12.14 in your losses. What do you attribute this to? As simple as you had your really good stuff in certain starts and just couldn't get it going in others? Certain pitches fail you in those losses?
Steven Buhr Verified Member Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 (edited) Wondering how closely Gibson is following the Twins manager search process. Does he find himself following every bit of news and every new rumor on the subject or does he try to simply put it out of mind until there's a formal announcement concerning the hire? Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Very good questions. Thank you! Keep them coming!
nater79a Verified Member Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Kyle, you pitched in the Arizona Fall League in 2012 and did pretty well. What was that experience like? Do you feel like it helped you prepare for the jump to the big club in 2013? Who were some of the current major leaguer hitters that you faced?
nater79a Verified Member Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 With the buyout of Jared Burton, does this open up a spot for a power arm like Nick Burdi to make the Twins out of spring training? Or do you think he spends a little more time at Chatanooga or Rochester?
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 49 minutes to go... keep the questions coming in for Kyle, but also for Jeremy and I to discuss.
