minn55441 Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Any word on whether we are getting a rainout today? Stuck at work and can't use my tickets, unless they postpone. Keeping my fingers crossed for more rain throughout the day.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 It looks like the heavy stuff will be past the Cities by gametime. Right now in Rochester, it is pouring!
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 We (the fans) could use a day (or even a week) off.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Pavano throwing batting practice -- two runs in the first inning. Please let it RAIN.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Way to swing at ball 4 and GDP on a 3-1 count there Joey.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Ya that was a piss poor at bat from Mauer. He's been chasin to many pitches lately and Willingham has watched too many. Cmon Twins
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Ya that was a piss poor at bat from Mauer. He's been chasin to many pitches lately and Willingham has watched too many. Cmon TwinsI fear that our only salvation today would be a rainout.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Morneau's been in beast mode lately
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Morneau's been in beast mode latelyIf only he and Mauer/Willingham could get hot at the same time.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Lets see how Pavano does. He looked good in the 2nd. Hopefully he can settle down and find his groove
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 I expect the Twins will win today.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Morneau comes to the plate again (good) with no one on (bad). Got to lay off that low change up. Almost same pitch Mauer GIDP on.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 If only the Twins could have kept Cuddyer AND brought in Willingham -- we could be seeing a lot more runs.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Needs to be a bit more patient. We need to get into their pen.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 SIX straight hits. This is sickening.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Well, no need to keep following this game now. Will a starting pitcher please stand up?...
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Thank God for Delmon Young, who retains enough Twins suckitude to GIDP and get us out of that inning.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Well, no need to keep following this game now. Will a starting pitcher please stand up?...Only the rookies seem to be able to give any hope -- Diamond, DeVries and Walters -- and we will be lucky if one of them can keep it up. This is going to be a LONG and unhappy season. I was hoping that we would benefit from playing in a weak division, but the starting pitching is so bad that we would have trouble winning in AAA.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Scherzer strikes out the side. Now let's give up some more runs.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 At least Span shows that he can still hit a home run.
Vegeta Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 Well the Twins come fighting back , and it starts raining lol. Hopefully this gets Scherzer outta the game
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 The worst part is, the Twins have to keep trotting Pavano out there since he is the only starter who could possibly be traded for someone.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 The worst part is, the Twins have to keep trotting Pavano out there since he is the only starter who could possibly be traded for someone.I think that there are lots of contenders for worst part, including having no one better than Pavano to replace him, as well as poor offense, poor defense, and a weak farm system. It seems to me that the only salvation will be to trade everyone over age 30 who can be traded, in an effort to put together a run in 2015 or 2016. In the meantime, we are looking good for high draft picks for a while.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 THIRTEEN Twins strikeouts. There should be a rule that after 15 strikeouts we can hit off a tee. And if there are more than 5 strikeouts using the tee, then they should call the game.

TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted May 26, 2012 Posted May 26, 2012 16 flipping strikeouts and no walks. Simply ridiculous. I don't know what else to say.
