LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I'm an Arcia guy, but I wouldn't be adverse to a little trip to Rochester for him. He needs a little bit of humility. Doesn't look like he has a plan at the plate. Don't think he has had a hit since May! Unfortunately, there are no other options. Twins OF is a mess right now, IMO. Yup. If anyone had said that Mauer would be the only mid-June black hole out of all five infield spots even without Plouffe on the DL, well... nobody would have said that. OTOH, while Willingham and Arcia had nice runs after returning to the lineup, and Hicks' struggles surprised almost nobody but Rob Antony, it's still surprising how rough the overall play of the outfield has been. And small sample plus totally subjective, but Gardenhire seems more short-tempered with the media after losses this year than in the previous three, despite the team's improved play. Managerial style aside, it makes me concerned for his health.
