Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Checked the weather at the Cell ... rain has stopped, overcast, winds 10-15 from the E, ESE, about 39 (but feels like 35) ... I think you won't have to wait. We aim to satisfy your anticipation here in the Windy City. Damn your Windy City anyway... Too many White Sox Fans!!! Traffic Hell!!! The worst 5 days of my life was attempting to drive through Chicago at 1MPH. I hit the Chicago Suburbs at 12Noon on a Monday and reached Indiana at 5PM on Friday.
Whammy Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I figured Kubel would be in the lineup today. Is the White Sox starter a lefty?Yes... but he bats right
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Seriously ... if we showed up in a Sox bar, I mean a real Sox bar in the Bridgewater neighborhood, we would not be allowed in or tossed. But quite honestly, I'm not that stupid, either. But we could get away with it in my neighborhood place, which is only southloop ... not far enough south. Well I trust you but it'll be hard for me since I always base my real life decisions on Jim Croce.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Isn't it against the commenting policy for Chi Town to try picking up the Big Dog on a game thread?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 / I don't think there's anything new in that I wish I could type in even smaller print.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Isn't it against the commenting policy for Chi Town to try picking up the Big Dog on a game thread? Nope... It's only against Policy for ChiTown to try picking up Brian Dozier due to conflict of interest.

Agreed, zero chance I would even try to walk into a South Side Sox bar and cheer for the Twins. Even if it worked, it wouldn't be fun.
Tibs Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I found out I get WGN in HD, so I don't have to stream the game on my laptop and it's in HD! Go Twins!
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Game hasn't even started and I've already had two hars, a guffaw and a myriad of yuks. Go Twinks!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Empty stadium in Chigago Yeah, and I'm one of those who decided not to skip out on work this afternoon to go.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Empty stadium in Chigago There all on Lake Shore Drive or the Kennedy Expressway... The Dan Ryan.... Eisenhower... Reagan. They actually left for today's game on Sunday.

Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I get WGN too! Maybe that'll change the luck, as Willingham gets a hit.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 Thielbar reminds me a lot of Flagstead. The Flagstead Estate was upset when Cecil Cooper reached it. I assume they are more resigned to it now.
