  1. Umm, there are no other outfielders on the roster. You really want pitchers to hit for the next 4 innings?
  2. So at what point is it okay to start questioning the moves of Falvine? Belisle, Breslow and Castro have all proven worthless. Colon doesn't look promising.
  3. Gashouse gang being summoned. I suspect Belisle is due for another 4 or 5 run outing. Maybe next inning.
  4. At this point, I think my choice would be EA.
  5. "Grossman thought it was ball 4" He always does. That's his game. He's the second coming of Rich Becker.
  6. Like Bartolo Colon pitching when the score was 0-0. For that to happen, the Twins need to stop acquiring terrible pitchers.
  7. Run differential. It usually has this year.
  8. My guess is when the first two hitters smash doubles next inning.
  9. Are we sure it was a Twins jersey? They didn't show the front.
  10. Apparently Bremer has forgotten the speed of the "Soul Patrol" circa 2001. Jones, Hunter and Lawton
  11. I'm not sure there would have been a play on Judge if Polanco had fielded that grounder cleanly. But he still needs to field it cleanly.
  12. Mejia looked like a Cy Young candidate the first time around last night too. He didn't make it through 6 innings. FWIW, Colon this year for Atlanta was hit early and often.
  13. Carlos Correa just hit the DL for Houston. Expected to miss 6-8 weeks, essentially almost all of the remainder of the regular season. Escobar? If the Twins start dropping.
  14. Show me the evidence of Dozier being able to actually touch the plate before the catcher had the ball. I have yet to see it. Nor did whoever told Molitor not to challenge. And as I said, with it being a judgement call it likely isn't reviewable anyway.
  15. Just as an addendum, this still doesn't relieve pressure on the 40 man this offseason. The first act of the offseason will be removing Hughes (and May and O'Rourke) from the 60 day DL. I have no idea what rules there might be to releasing Hughes at that time. I know he can't be released while on the DL - hence Sandoval being activated and then released. But there is no DL in the offseason.
  16. In the image on the post, the catcher has the ball. You can tell because he's looking at Dozier, not the source of the throw. Dozier is not close enough to reach the plate yet. It isn't interference to block the plate without the ball unless the act prevents the baserunner from reaching the plate. The only thing preventing Dozier from reaching the plate was the fact that he didn't get there fast enough.
  17. Perhaps. But what would be the reason to outright Gee? Not saying it couldn't be done, but why do it?
