    His fastball is straight but has a ton of velo... I believe he hit 98 multiple times I also liked that he attacked hitters every at-bat; The Twins may have something here

    What's even more impressive about the Twins record is that 15 out of their 29 games have came against teams with winning records... compare that to the Rays who have only played 4, Yankees who have only played 5, Indians who have only played 10, and Seattle who is 0-10 against winning teams... the other top 4 teams in the AL excluding Houston. *Additionally, the Astros have played 21 teams with winning records, and the Twins went 4-3 against them while facing Verlander twice. This Twins team is for real. *Edit

    That's a pretty solid record when you think about the teams they've played: Cleveland, Houston, NYM, and Philly.. also are 4-0 against Detroit and KC

    It's too bad that Austin is out of options. Cron is definitely a stop-gap type of player, but I think he can contribute, for sure. Falvey basically tabbed him as the starter in his interview with MLB Network. I wonder how much the front office believes in Brent Rooker in comparison to Austin.

    I have a hunch Byron's going to break out this season. He may struggle in April and May at the plate as he's shown in previous years, but his defense, speed, and presence is going to be very important to his team either way. As long as he stays healthy, he's going to be the reason this team wins the AL Central this season. His bat is going to explode eventually and it's going to be glorious. Byron will receive top 10 MVP votes at the end of this season. Mark my words.

    The payroll is too low not to grab another arm or two. Given that injuries happen and Pineda is likely to get hurt some time this season, I think the Twins should heavily consider adding Keuchel, Gio Gonzalez, or even Clay Bucholz as well as Ottavino to round out the bullpen. The lineup looks very solid on paper. Sano and Buxton can get this team to 90 wins alone by each having a 2017-like year. The powerful additions of Schoop, Cron, and Cruz will make the middle of the lineup very dangerous. There's very good potential for this team to have 6-7 20 HR hitters. Add in improvements from Kepler and Castro and you've got a rock solid lineup top to bottom. The only thing that will hold this team back is most likely that 5th starter spot (if no additions are made), and the back of the bullpen, which is relatively unproven. That's why getting Ottavino would be huge.

    Gordon is simply not ready, and including Forsythe in the trade echoes that. He looks lost as of late in Rochester... Collectively in AAA he's batting .214 with only a .243 OBP

    Forsythe may benefit from a change of scenery... Fun Fact albeit a SSS: Forsythe's highest batting average, slugging percentage, and OPS by ballpark in his career is Target Field... .333 AVG, .600 SLG, 1.021 OPS in 19 PA's

    It's very upsetting how two Top-5 prospects in the whole league can go from rising superstars to -WAR productivity. Think about that: Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano are -0.5 WAR combined this season coming off Buxton's Platinum Glove season and Sano's all-star season ... the good thing is that they're young. I just hope that something clicks in Sano that makes him want to be one of the greats, because he really could be. He's lost the weight, and he hit well at High-A. I think we should bring him back up to spark the lineup... We need RH power. Buxton has the passion to be great, but he can't stay healthy. Last season, he flashed what he really could be: a 30-30 Mike Trout type superstar. Platinum Glove and all. They need to bring him back up soon also if the FO is giving up on this season.
