    So last week he was asked to get waived? He was a healthy scratch this week, so why the delay? This is going to be a bad look when he goes back to the Panthers and makes the playoffs. What a great trade.

    Also, if this team were to sign Rhys Hoskins, he wouldn't be the short side platoon with Kody Clemens. Hoskins doesn't have a discernable issue with splits and isn't a giant liability in the on-base department like Clemens is.

    Yeah, I don't blame the kid. This was certainly planned by an adult.

    Yeah, I have teenagers; this is 100% something an adult concocted and executed.

    Individually, which young players improved overall? Lots of them came up, were hot, the other teams adjusted and then the Twins never had an answer. But outside of Jeffers, nobody has become a hitter that can confidently be stuck in the lineup every day.

    Technology or no technology, the last coaching staff couldn't fix ANY hitters. Plenty seemed to get worse the longer they they were here though.

    And considering they constantly lie about whether a call was reversed due to a conference by the officials, or a call from New York.

    The game being thrown for the Broncos is going to be a pretty big talker this week. I'm not a conspiracy theory dude so I'm not buying it, but this is a real bad look.

    Right, was he supposed to pout and slap Darnold? I seriously have to tell my kids that it’s OK to have a bad day at school but you don’t get to spend the rest of the night intentionally making everyone else miserable.

    I'm happy to add his lack of health as a key part of his evaluation. McCarthy has had six starts. Trey Lance only got four. And Lance didn't actually play bad, he just clearly played with inexperience and was often injured. If the Vikings have any stones, they'll pull the plug too. And if things are bad enough, the heat will be high enough and hopefully it won't take stones because the pressure will be too great to make any other choice. Try again. Two years was supposed to be the limit anyway. If his health impacted on field evaluations, tough, it's part of the game and should be part of the evaluation.

    Sure, but historically the Vikings have been satisfied with getting the not-top-QBs in the drafts. Even though they rarely draft one. Last time they settled for the fifth QB drafted even if he was the consensus fourth QB overall. Don't settle for that crap, go get one of your two top choices. Really close to demanding they go get their top chose, period. And by they, I don't mean KAM. He can go find Van Ginkles, Greenards and Cashmans. Leave the drafting to someone else.

    Quite possibly it was the worst it has been all season. So quite possibly it was the worst anyone has ever seen in NFL history. I feel bad for Brosmer, while at the same time I don't need to see more from Brosmer.

    I agree he should start, but I have zero interest in him showing growth. And I have zero interest in the third QB in this draft, regardless of how they all end up ranked. Washington, NYG and Tennessee won't be drafting a QB. At minimum one of them should be drafting top two. Therefore, Vikings should be able to pick #1 or #2, if they aren't so precious with their draft picks that they won't part with them.

    Last week against the team's most hated rival seemed worse to me as half the team showed up today. The defense put on a pretty good show. But I agree about cleaning house.

    Jefferson isn't asking to leave unless they stick with McCarthy (and maybe not even then, he seems like a good guy). And they are less likely to stick with McCarthy if they are embarrassingly bad. If McCarthy was sub par but they won nine games, they'd absolutely stick with McCarthy. Him (and Brosmer) being bad is good! If we want a new QB, and I think most of us do, the worse these guys play, the better our (and Jefferson's) chances of getting that wish. Short term pain for long term gain. Or at least an attempt at long term gain, which is all we can really ask for.

    Speaking as a Vikings fan, no I don't believe, anything happen. I don't think it's a coincidence that this franchise hasn't been to the Super Bowl since Fran Tarkington was here, and the only times they got close were when both Favre and Cunningham were actual top 1-3 QBs in the league. Go get another top five QB year after year. At any cost. Super Bowl or bust.

    I'm not asking for a guarantee, I just want a chance. I seriously don't want more hollow 10 win seasons where we know before the playoffs start that the Vikings don't actually have a shot at winning.

    Sure, but you'd have to find a QB later in the draft, and this franchise rarely drafts QBs let alone good ones later in the draft. If we wanted them to cut bait on Brosmer McCarthy this early, it was almost certainly going to have to be because the season was a laugher.

    Nope, I want them to remember their epic failures. There should be zero moral victories today. Or last week. Or this year at all.

    What has happened to this board today, isn't being bad good and what most of us have wanted? If these young QBs weren't embarrassing, they'd probably stick with them longer than they should. Hasn't most of the board been saying all year long that being bad is better than being average? Plus, Wentz surprisingly wasn't embarrassing. Also, KAM should be fired.

    I'm tired of this national narrative about not re-signing Darnold. These people are NOT Vikings fans, and they think the Vikings should be satisfied with winning games but they don't care at all if the Vikings ever win a Super Bowl. Screw them. Sam Darnold is not winning this club a Super Bowl, therefore do not commit to him long term. I know the last two games have been embarrassing, but that's good. Embarrassment spurs change. Four wins is way better than nine wins in the NFL.

    How does finding a QB that at minimum is as good as Carson Wentz get changed quickly? Whether it's the draft, free agency or trade, it would be really hard not to match that. The bar doesn't get a whole lot lower.

    Agree. In my book worse is better anyway. Seven wins for this club would be rock bottom. Any more than five wins is a terrible situation to be in.

    We've been hearing this all year, and I think it's overblown. Yeah, he's had a down year due to QB play, but that can change quickly. They JUST showed the graphic about Jefferson's yards per game per QBs for his career, and Carson Wentz, not Sam Darnold, was #2. In case we've forgotten, the Wentz era was with the Vikings here in 2025 and he was a backup QB that at most got a shrug from Vikings fans. Jefferson doesn't need a top end QB to thrive, and the team will almost certainly be looking for something with a Wentz-esque floor in 2026. Now I PERSONALLY require a top end QB, but if we're worried about Jefferson getting upset about his production, that's going to be an easy fix.
