There's nobody in Hallock MN that will think about the pricing that way. Particularly if they're not watching every game, but maybe watching once a week. And many of them will watch once a week because they do have something else to do; as mentioned earlier, Netflix, Amazon and Hulu are still much cheaper. The Twins didn't build their heyday era fan bases on diehards, they built them on casual fans. Rural fans are more cost conscious than their urban counterparts, and they're not going to snag many of the rural casual fans. -
Yeah, Minnesota isn't a small market, but the market is disproportionately rural, especially when factoring in the Dakotas and Iowa. These areas tend to have significantly lower wages and probably more importantly, lower cost of living expenses than markets on the coasts. I'd guess the Twins market will have a similarly disproportionate percentage of their fanbase that would balk at prices those on the coasts wouldn't think twice about.

Rabbit hole conspiracy alert! I was thinking that it's kind of odd that the Raiders haven't reached out to Mike McCarthy. They've interviewed top coordinators Ben Johnson, Aaron Glen and Todd Monkin, but otherwise it seems they've focused on former head coaches, interviewing Steve Spagnolo, Robert Saleh, Pete Carroll, Vance Joseph, and Ron Rivera. Reports also said they have at least talked to Bill Belichick and didn't interview Mike Vrabel only because he already told Tom Brady he was going back to New England. So why not McCarthy? He seems like a pretty good fit considering all of the experienced coaches they're looking at. Conspiracy theory: Tom Brady already has Aaron Rodgers lined up as the LV QB in 2025 and Rodgers and McCarthy didn't get along at the end of their time in Green Bay.

Is it possible that every player on OSU's offense is better than the counterpart offensive player on ND's offense? I think they are.
-
I have no love for OSU, but I'd rather ND just lose twice.

Linehan never had this kind of anticipation to be a HC. He left Minnesota and went to Miami, even while Tice remained the HC, because he was mad that nobody wanted to hire him after the 2005 season. Not that I think Johnson is a sure thing. I could see it being a disaster, or maybe something like Mike McDaniel in Miami. Might still be able to call a good offensive game, but not being able to run a functional team. And if he's taking his queues from Dan Campbell as to how to be a HC, and that's a strong possibility, it could be a problem. Those two do not seem to have anything close to the same personality; nobody has the same personality as Campbell. If he tries to be a hard-nosed-but-softie-but-still-Alpha type, I think it's going to come off as phoney.

Maybe, but makes me think he probably had already decided on the Bears. Caleb Williams vs, Aiden O'Connell? Kirk Cousins? No idea who's going to be QB there, but it's not going to be pretty.
-
I don't see it on PFT, but just got a notification that the Bears are getting Ben Johnson. I'm optimistic that this really hurts the Lions, while also optimistic that he might be a better offensive mind than actual head coach. I hope this doesn't work out for either of those teams.
-
I'm happy this is an option, however I think the team is going to find they get fewer subscribers than they expect up here. Pricing it above Netflix/Hulu/Amazon is going to turn off a lot of casual fans.

Outside of Addison, who is the second starter and third good player? Blackmon and Ward? I wouldn't call Blackmon a starter and I haven't seen anything to suggest either are good players.
-
4 years 72M for an inconsistent reliever with poor command. Remind me again why anybody would want to buy a mid or small market team again? With this insurmountable disparity, is it really to try to win a championship?
-
Nah, it's not the Vikings so I'm not going to worry about it either way!
-
Wow. Now the Rams are in danger of leaving too much time for the Eagles?!?
-
All things equal, I kick it deep, but with this snow I might try the onside. In either case, one stop gives LA a chance to win.

Braggart.

Like curling. That would be fun.

I assumed you were shivering too badly to type.

I used to enjoy cold weather outside games. Now I complain about how cold I am sitting in a sweatshirt in my basement.
-
That hurts. As fun as Kyren Williams is, he does that way too much.
-
Yeah, but I don't want Montgomery, I want Gibbs. And obviously the Vikings won't get someone as good as Gibbs, but that's the skillset I want this team to look for.
-
We will be on the same page this offseason in this regard. Henderson is my pick too. Like Gibbs and Kamara before him, there will be questions about his workload because he shared carries in college. Great, let that push him down the draft boards. That's just going to leave more tread on his tires at the NFL level.
-
No slander, he was a great short yardage bruiser, but definitely not a three down back, particularly not in today's game. Also, he had one of the games best quotes of all time: "Coach, if you need one yard, I'll get you three yards. If you need five yards, I'll get you three yards."
-
Yeah, Kwesi nailed free agency. But he can't draft. Does the same guy absolutely have to be in charge of both of those things? I mean I know how the job has always worked, but can't the Vikings do something different? Because I'm happy keeping Kwesi if he keeps doing the thing he is good at if someone else can do the thing he isn't good at.
-
I don't want Leroy Hoard though. He's so slow. I want someone who's fast enough to break long runs with or without getting contacted. I want a nasty OL, the RB can be nasty, but that's not the priority for me. He needs to be shifty with a burst.
-
Yes, they were very good at running in situations where the other team doesn't know if it's a run or a pass. When it's a short yardage situation, they absolutely cannot run the ball.
