    This has been a fun game to listen to with Hendricks in line for his first "big league" win, Willingham padding his resume with a 4 for 4 night (so far), Carroll almost hit his 2nd homer in 4 years. I have a question though. For those who listen on Gameday, does it seem like Chris Atterbury (who is doing the broadcast with Cory Provos tonight) always has his microphone gain set way too high so it distorts.

    Because every game has the potential for something amazing, unique, or pathetic there's always a draw for me to listen or check the highlights, even the last game of last season when Pavano outpitched Chen to avoid the dreaded 100th loss of the season.

    He's very hittable at this point. I wish I could have seen him pitch in AAA to see what's so different. Perhaps Parker can put something together? Major league hitters instead on minor league hitters!! Or maybe he needs an Aussie pitch whisperer (Rene Rivera?)

    I shared this with RP - but it's issues like this where sometimes it's just better to call the poster an "idiot", let everyone move on, and get past it. Instead, here we are on page 4..... It's like the traffic slowed by the car wreck...we all curse those in front of us for slowing down to gawk but we can't help ourselves when we get the chance...and now I've perpetuated this further. OK, let's all move along...nothing to see here folks.

    How about Chris Parmelee's production in Rochester for his last 10 games? .452/.511/.929 with 6 HRs and 12 rbi (according to MiLB). Does anyone know what position he's been playing?

    Very nice blog. I've had similar observations about the contrasts of major league baseball vs rookie league but mine were in reverse order to yours. I grew up in southern Minnesota and got to see a handful of Twins games at the old Met stadium but listened to a lot of games on 830 WCCO. Twenty some years ago I moved to Helena, Montana and have gone to quite a few Pioneer League games. You are right on about the intamacy of the games and players. Enjoy your visit.
