  1. So he had 8 good outings in AAA and one bad, and that negates the bad run he had to get sent to AAA to begin with? Gotcha.
  2. According to the Twins Facebook page it's major league move.
  3. Up to 6 catchers now. Is it just me or does that number seem a bit high given there's 10+ rounds remaining?
  4. After round 23 they're up to 4 power hitting college catchers ... I think we've found their type.
  5. Been decent in the Cape Cod League. Not sure how the ACC was this year, but numbers there seem decent. http://thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=197582
  6. I figured it out guys ... positional flexibility. He pitched 3 times for the Willmington Sharks during the 2016 Coastal Plain League season. Unfortunately, the bat didn't seem to play as well there, or in the New England Collegiate League, as it did at UNCW. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/profile.asp?ID=202003
  7. MLB Pipeline doesn't have him in the Top 200. Ouch.
  8. I believe she was 4-6 (more than one occasion) and he was 13-15.
  9. Sometimes these guys need to be saved from themselves - Chuck Liddell in the UFC is a perfect example. He didn't want to walk away, but because of his age and the damage he's taken, Dana White wouldn't book him anymore - said he cared too much about him as a person. Chuck, given his desire to fight Tito Ortiz again at age 48 and being gone for almost a decade, isn't ready to give in, but if it happens it'll be under Oscar de la Hoya, and not the UFC. This might be what the Twins need to do if the symptoms don't go away and Joe's willing to risk it. I mean, maybe they dissipate and he's back, but is it really worth it? I haven't had a "major" concussion in 10+ years (one minor one since then, bringing the total to 6), and I still get foggy from time to time, get dizzy on occasion, and suffer from migraines. The things I did to get those weren't worth it.
  10. I'm trying to figure out which way I go if they pull the trigger. Do I stop watching baseball altogether? Do I become a Brewers fan? Rangers? Cubs (like everyone else)? I don't want it to come to that, and really hope it doesn't, but I just wouldn't be able to continue supporting them. I can't, however, blame those that would be able to. Or those that can forgive. I just have too many friends and family members that went through this kind of abuse, and have seen how it's affected their lives, to be able to.
  11. 15 is old enough to know the difference between right and wrong. I just can't give second chances on something like this. If the Twins draft him, I will be done with them and I will sell or give away everything I've accumulated over the last 30+ years - from my Harmon rookie card to my 1987 Wheaties box. Same thing I did with the Vikings when they gave Peterson his post-abuse pay increase.
  12. I'd say cases like this are pretty cut and dry - she was 4-6 years old, he was not. The cases when they're older and older in age are more difficult than this one, IMO.
  13. We're not talking about an 18-year-old dating his 15-year-old high school girlfriend here. He can go be a garbage man or something as his second chance.
  14. Perhaps I should rephrase ... convicted pedophiles shouldn't get second chances.
  15. In crimes like this, I can't call 15 a child. Unless that 15-year-old has developmental disabilities, that's more than old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.
  16. Respectfully disagree. There's some crimes there's no coming back from, and this - IMO - is one of those. He got his free education, he's received enough.
  17. I'd totally wiped this kid from my mind, but even the question of whether or not they'd draft him have me scared they might do just that. I'm not sure I could continue to support the organization if they did. https://www.twincities.com/2018/06/02/would-twins-draft-oregon-state-lefty-luke-heimlich-club-isnt-saying/
  18. I'm not sure why LaMarre thinks he's going to get that pitch.
  19. That challenge is the turning point. Everything's comin' up Molly from here on out.
