The Minnesota Twins lineup gifted David Festa a six-run top of the second inning to take some of the edge off in his MLB debut. Byron Buxton hit the longest Twins homer of the year in a big win over Arizona. Down on the farm, both Matt Wallner and Yunior Severino continued their insanely hot Junes, Zebby Matthews turned in another strong start and Gabriel Gonzalez had a multi-hit game in his return to the Kernels. -
The Minnesota Twins continue playing out west, and I was not able to hold out long enough for that game to end before getting this one out. A few highlights from that game are included, but there were some stellar minor league performances from some of the top prospects in the system, including Brooks Lee, Luke Keaschall, Andrew Morris and Walker Jenkins featured as well. The Minnesota Twins continue playing out west, and I was not able to hold out long enough for that game to end before getting this one out. A few highlights from that game are included, but there were some stellar minor league performances from some of the top prospects in the system, including Brooks Lee, Luke Keaschall, Andrew Morris and Walker Jenkins featured as well.

Here are my picks for Minnesota Twins midseason minor league all-stars. We recently passed the midway point for most of the minor league schedule, so I figured it was a good time to recognize some guys. This helps put a spotlight on some less heralded names who are performing at a high level. Along with a lot of the top prospects and other incredible performers you'd expect (Emmanuel Rodriguez, Luke Keaschall, David Festa, Zebby Matthews), guys like Michael Helman, Caleb Boushley, Ricardo Velez and Gabriel Yanez made the cut.

The Minnesota Twins won 3-0 in Oakland behind impressive performances from Pablo López and Byron Buxton. Pablo delivered eight shutout innings and struck out 14 batters. Buck hit an impressive homer and later added an RBI double, shouldering the offense in a low-scoring affair. Down in the minors, Jose Olivares had an impressive start for the Mighty Mussels while former Indy Ballers Matthew Clayton and Rixon Wingrove provided the power for the lineup. View full video

Royce Lewis did everything he could to keep the Twins in it with his bat, going 3-for-4 with yet another home run, but also committed a critical error with two outs in the 10th inning to allow the eventual game-winning run to score. Austin Martin made a pair of acrobatic catches in left field and Joe Ryan had a quality start. In the minors, Brooks Lee had another noteworthy day for the Saints. The Minnesota Twins were trying to make it work despite a forecast that called for plenty of rain. Due to a delay, there are no highlights of the big club in this one, but there is a grand slam from Brooks Lee and a 10-strikeout performance from Christian MacLeod.

In addition to blasting a three-run homer, Max also delivered a walk-off single in the 10th inning.
