  1. This is kinda where I sit too. I don't see them tearing it down completely. I'd be pretty surprised to see Goldschmidt dealt, even more so for Arenado. And I'd believe the sky is falling if they dealt both. The thing with their pitching is that they're typically the one dealing it rather than bringing it in. They've been pretty good at developing pitchers for a while, but it appears that injuries have taken their toll on their pitching core.
  2. Exactly. You have to start somewhere. They're not going to fire everyone at this point. They've shown loyalty to Rocco, so the assistant coaches will be the first on the chopping block.
  3. You'd hope that those making these decisions aren't making them on small sample size and ignore context. There's plenty of track record there without having to make knee jerk reactions based on one series against bad teams.
  4. Running a straight line between bases and tracking a fly ball, especially on a windy day, are two very different things.
  5. Trading for Goldschmidt is a pipe dream. He'll command a haul of prospects and is only signed through next year. This team is further away than a Goldschmidt. If this team was just a Goldschmidt away, I'd have a much different view on this. He also has a full no-trade clause, if I recall correctly. I have no idea why he'd waive it to come here. I'd have no issue moving Kirilloff if they did bring him here, but I have to imagine that he'd be included in the haul the Cardinals would get in return. So, that's a moot point in my view. As @chpettit19, I do think a lineup full of young guys could be worse. That said, I'm at the point where I'd rather see that then the likes of Kepler and Gallo flailing away. I don't think they have enough even borderline ready guys in places of need to fill the holes this lineup has though.
  6. Indeed. I don't recall seeing him ever do one of those.
  7. Pretty little trees does sound a bit more soothing.
  8. I guess if you know the opposing pitcher, you know your matchups. The only thing to really wait for would be if someone is dinged up. No real sense in waiting to submit it at that point. That's how I'd operate anyway.
  9. Do they let you in early enough on weekends to see them though? I don't believe that they do during the week. It's been a while since I've gotten to a game as the gates open.
  10. Let's close out the first half strong with another great Ryan start!
  11. Yeah, I get that. And I don't disagree with that logic. There could be other reasons for that as well though. He could even just be slumping.
  12. Out for one game? No. For all we know he has the flu. I'd obviously rather he be in there, but I'm not going to get too worked up about one game.
  13. No offense to the guy, but every time I read the name Santander, I first read it as 'Salamander'. Every. Single. Time.
  14. I think it's time to start another win streak...
  15. You think so? That's such a rarity with this team!
  16. Booo apple tv! Okay I'm done. That's out of my system. Moving on...
  17. Damn! I was really looking forward to that Big Gulp!
  18. Better that then asking how many cans of beans were required for that scene...
  19. Who let this guy in here?!?🤣 Perfect way to ruin a perfect delicacy!
