  1. I know. I should be in a museum or something!
  2. I'm still out of scotch, hence the wine.
  3. I consider the piercing stare a response too.
  4. Don't have kids and my dog spills too much of the whiskey. Sometimes it's best just to do things yourself...as unfortunate as that may be at times.
  5. As a non-beer drinker, the preferred beverage of choice is usually whiskey but wine works pretty well with a good burger as well. Class it up, man!
  6. No. That's why I didn't suggest it. Mrs. Wsnydes "isn't my own personal bartender" as she puts it.
  7. One can not define it, but you'll know when you've reached it.
  8. Get out of the recliner and go get more... What are you, a rookie?
  9. Just be careful that you don't pass the point of enlightenment.
  10. I just sat down to a juicy bacon, mushroom, Swiss burger with a glass of Cabernet. Not the greatest pairing, but it's filling the void.
  11. Have a second strawberry margherita and then it'll either make sense or all will be forgiven. If it doesn't, have another margherita.
  12. Except the fact that Garver still has next to no MLB experience. A month is still a month working with the big league coaches and learning from big league players. He can't get that in AAA. I think that is more important with where Garver is in his development than extra reps in AAA.
  13. While I wasn't one that wanted Giminez DFA'd, Garver could have DH'd, spelled Mauer at 1B, played some LF in a pinch. He didn't need to come up exclusively as a catcher. There was room for both of them. You are correct though that this is why Giminez wasn't DFA'd. If they would have called him up a month ago, he'd likely have at least one game behind the plate. At least he would have gotten his feet wet already.
  14. Agreed. That's kind of why I was wondering if they may split the starts more evenly just to get him a few more PA's.
  15. Not a great time to lose a starting catcher, not that there ever is one. Seth, do you think they'll start Giminez and spot start Garver or will they split the load 50/50?
  16. Attendance figures are still that way. It's getting better, but they're still below what is officially announced.
  17. Where there's a will, there's a way!
  18. I thought so too. Generally speaking, having the seats closer to the field get more expensive within the section makes much more sense even from a ticket buyers standpoint.
  19. Yeah, there shouldn't be any rush to extend him now. If he was a couple of years younger, sure I'd entertain the idea, but not at 31. As you said earlier, the money that would go to Dozier needs to be spent on pitching.
  20. According to the Star Tribune, the Twins are overhauling their ticket structure and prices for next season. Initially, I was a bit worried that they were going to gouge the season ticket holders some more, but after further research I found that my current seats would actually go down by $90/seat. http://www.startribune.com/twins-overhauling-ticket-options/441618433/
  21. Plus, most established businesses aren't going to have exponential growth like an emerging startup would. Even then, as you said, it's only realized if you sell or take a loan against it.
  22. I always have to play two sides of this. The business side of me understands completely and doesn't fault them for it. It is a business and they seemingly practice sound business practices to keep it and their other ventures viable. Then on the other hand (the fan) says that they're so rich, so spend like it! I'd like to think that if I were in that situation, I'd try to find a happy medium because it would be so fun to own a baseball team, yet part of the reason of owning it would be to make some money. I don't think the Polhad heirs enjoy owning a team as much as Carl supposedly did.
  23. Based on some lineups, that might be the proper description of the process too.
