  1. While it's true that they're in the same boat, neither of them started off with as good a first half as the Twins did. But yes, they're just as flawed.
  2. That was disheartening. Giolito was masterful, gotta give him credit.
  3. That and they're really not in a position to just give away games. They're not going to win them all, but they've got to take advantage of supposedly lesser opponents. Can't lose series against teams lower in the standings and definitely can't lose them at home. Credit Giolito for being locked in, but this has been a pretty uninspired effort from the home 9.
  4. In fairness, he didn't mention WHICH old Sano.
  5. And it'd be justified since his defense doesn't appear to have.
  6. Are you suggesting that I'm short and wide? You're not really wrong...
  7. I live dangerously enough to stay on 5. I don't actually.
  8. Fair point. I like to live dangerously, but even I have my limits!
  9. Sounds like it was just changed to an error. That's got to be an error in that context.
  10. I really wish that guys would do that more often.
  11. Nope, but they do play Friday. The world, or the season, won't end if they lose. Not ideal though.
  12. That's why I said that I'm fine with the status quo. Shifting Arraez up in the order in my mind means that the current top of the order slides down a spot. Plus, Rosario behind Sano protects Sano. Cruz then protects Rosario? These questions are why I'm fine with Arraez down in the lineup. I think the pieces fit well together just fine.
  13. If they were to do this, my vote would be Arraez, Polanco, Kepler, Sano, Rosario. That said, I don't really have an issue with how the lineup is currently constructed. It's working, but I wouldn't quibble if Rocco decided to do something along either of these lines either.
  14. For me, I didn't mind the Pressly trade because of the sell high factor. The only argument that I would argue against the trade was that it weakened an already weak pen. While that's true, I would then trust the FO to go out and reinforce the weakness that they further weakened. They didn't do that. That's where I have the problem.
  15. Percy Harvin would disagree with you on the migraines. I would disagree with you on Mauer. The Twins have 33 infield throwing errors this season so far. They had 31 all of last year. Mauer had 3 total errors last year, Twins 1B this year have 13 already. There's still a quarter of the season left.
  16. It's not a coincidence that the pitching has suffered accordingly as well. A staff that allows the ball to be put in play as often as this one does, solid defense helps immensely. Echoing Brock's comment, Buxton is so important to this team. He needs to stay on the field.
  17. Pretty much. Just be thankful you don't have Nick's connection!
  18. Apparently only strikeouts or home runs are allowed today?
