  1. Nuclear missiles are just a more technical term for "bombas" as well!
  2. Lots of baseball left in the season. I imagine that we'll see lots of Twins/Indians jumping back and forth atop the standings for the rest of the way. Buckle up and enjoy the ride of a division race! I, and many others I suspect, have waited quite a while for this.
  3. I've heard something along those lines as well. He was on some pretty brutal squads.
  4. Agreed. I prefer the narrative of "take care of business on your own end" so that you don't have to worry about what Cleveland is doing.
  5. I tend to agree, but I'd rather have one than not. Your margin for error is a bit larger with one than without. I realize that that isn't what you're arguing. Kershaw hasn't helped his own cause in many a playoff series though either. The ace still has to perform.
  6. Base coach? Bullpen catcher? Streaker?
  7. Speaking of Kershaw, I was listening to the Dodgers broadcast last night and they stated that of Kershaw's 336 career starts, he's allow 1 or fewer earned runs in 171 of them. That's rather good, no?
  8. {scours scorebook trying to find position "0"} Yes, I see what you did there!
  9. This is one instance where I really wish that you could get a gist of the lack of enthusiasm that's behind this bit. It's so fitting.
  10. A HIT! THEY GOT A HIT!!!!
  11. Seems as though they've got the 5-4-3 triple plays mastered. Time to move up a notch and record one of them fancy unassisted triple plays, I say.
  12. and you guys doubted them!
  13. Fair enough. Still a bit early to have the ump in your head though, which is my point. That's why I'm saying that it's not a good sign.
  14. I guess that I'd call slamming the bat and helmet to the ground and chirping enough that the ump follows you to the dugout to be unraveling a bit. That's how it was described on the radio. YMMV though.
  15. Justified or not, unraveling this early isn't a good sign.
  16. Always a good sign when a team starts barking at the ump early in a game...
  17. Yeah, that's been the trend recently. Not a good thing at all.
  18. Likely the lesser of two evils.
  19. Is this a replay from last night? We're not in a rain delay and CCO decided to air last night's game to fill time right?
  20. I think this is the punchline to the punchline of the "and boy are my arms tired" joke.
  21. Lots of statements in this thread today that aged like a fine vinegar.
  22. I have to imagine Rocco asked Dyson if he was good to go. It's not like this was the first time this scenario has ever played out. Dyson had a bad day, it happens. And I don't think Rocco wanted to use Rogers in either of the last two games (including today) but felt he had to in order to salvage the game. That's not a good sign, but it is the reality.
