    I feel basically the same way. I would also be looking very closely at the A's FO to try to identify someone who could help the Twins be more like the A's.

    If you could be the owner of the Twins for one day, and could fire the GM, would you do it? If so, who would you try to hire as the new GM?

    The Twins have accumulated some contracts that seem likely to be burdens for a while -- Nolasco, Pelfrey, and Mauer come to mind. I guess that happens with a lot of teams, but it also seems that some teams (like the A's) are able to minimize this.

    The Yankees tried to get Samardzija and were beat out by the A's. After seeing Pino, maybe they might try for him?

    Great lineup Chief. If there is a heaven, they will eventually be playing there against Babe Ruth, Micky Mantle and other Yankee greats.

    Great thread, folks. After all of this analysis about who the Twins might trade, I am wondering if Stringer or anyone else might want to open a thread about what the Twins should be looking for in their trades. Personally, I would like to see a catcher with a high ceiling who could be ready to come up within 2 or 3 years. I like Pinto, but would like to see another strong option.

    This one has been especially painful to watch. I even checked the standings to see where the Twins would be in the draft order if the season ended today. The best spin that I can put on this is that if they don't start playing a lot better, they might move up to #3 or #4.
