  3. Gotta love how you can count on the sox to kick the ball around once or twice a game.
  4. Also with heart and grit... with a side of battling their tails off.
  5. Bark, someday will you a picture of a raccoon trash can band? I will leave it up to you to interpret what that means.
  6. I think Sano and Rosario decided to have a contest to see who could have the taller pop up. I would have told them to not have that contest.
  7. I like how they keep showing the replay of Garcia getting hit. I'm not a big fan of anyone getting hit, but I don't mind as much when the person getting hit plays for the White Sox.
  8. Since when have game threads been about baseball? ...I must have missed that memo.
  9. Here's a little site that I check periodically to see if Abe Vigoda has died: http://isabevigodadead.com/

  11. Hicks qualifies for the playoff roster. Per ESPN playoff roster Primer: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/109921/full-primer-on-playoff-roster-eligibility It's good to see Hicks have a good game right before he rejoins the team.
  12. Well done, Parker. This was a fantastic article. Sano has just been amazingly fun to watch this year. Let's hope he continues to hit like this in a Twins uniform for many years to come.
  13. That is a great list of players. I'm glad to see both Turner and Garver going. It should be fun to read about all of these guys. Not surprised they are sending Walker, as he definitely deserves to go. Let's hope he can continue to crush baseballs in the AFL.

  15. I would say that the Twins could use a guy hitting like Abreu hitting anywhere in the lineup. He's a pretty special talent. There aren't a ton of guys like that in the league, so having basically two on the same team would be pretty amazing. I'm looking forward to this series. Then again, I always look forward to beating up on the pale hose.
  16. http://s3.amazonaws.com/rapgenius/leftorium.jpg As a fellow lefty, I have to love a sport that really appreciates that lefties are wonderful people. It just so happens that I want these three particular lefties (Sale, Rodon and Danks) to fail miserably in the three days to come as the Twins pound the pitches thrown their direction all over the field, sending the White Sox back to the windy city to where they can cry in their deep dish pizzas and hot dogs.
  17. Just a guess, but it was opening weekend of the Minnesota State Fair. That probably reduced the Twins game crowd by quite a bit. It's good to hear that some of these guys are finishing out the season strongly. Chargois is really starting to look a strong bullpen guy. I'm glad that he's finally looking healthy.
  18. Well, the Astros like to strike out a lot themselves. So, maybe they'll make the Twins pitching look pretty good. The Twins are also playing very well at home this season. So, hopefully that bodes well for the home team!
  19. I agree. I was just pointing out that there were other opportunities in the game for the Twins to score some runs. That was just an example. It's tough for me to get too down on the team after that loss. A seven game winning streak if tough to get. A seven game winning streak entirely on the road is even harder. That's a feat the Twins have never done. It just means that Twins get to start another winning streak tonight!
  20. I would say there were other opportunities in that game as well. If Sano didn't strike out after Mauer's double in the first, there is another potential run that didn't get added. Yes, Sano's shot should have been a HR, and most probably would have at pretty much any other stadium. It's one of the things about baseball, sometimes the ball drops in your favor, and sometimes it doesn't. It is true the the Twins need more out of their starters. If they did, maybe the pull out win #7 in a row. Hopefully they stay in the groove overall and comeback with some wins against the Astros.
  21. Sound like fun. Unfortunately, that's the same day as the Autumn Brew Review, so I'll be there sampling craft beers all afternoon instead. Have fun everybody!
  22. Ok. One more Russia joke for me, and I might have to be done.
  23. Maybe in Russia, water has sworn off you!
