  1. Would love to see what he can do with a September call up. Truly see if he is for real as a mistake hitter and provide some runs for the Twins. An impressive spring training and a great start in AAA next year and I can see a Twins need for a Walker, even with a crowded OF already.
  2. 71 & 23 is crazy productive in 78 games IMO
  3. Kid has more line drive singles off the wall than anyone I know. Ball jumps off bat Great video about Walkers power and interview with hitting coach Chad Allen (Chatty news) http://www.wdef.com/content/sports/localsports/story/Lookouts-Adam-Brett-Walker-Compared-to-Baseballs/tkmkIlTKYUqYBRT-WOhZew.cspx Awesome company to be mentioned with in terms of power.
  4. I have been watching the Lookouts for some time now and I have come to the conclusion that status matters. Unless you completely tank, status matters. I want the opinion of posters. Should we promote the higher ranked prospects first because of investment and promise or promote because of mastery? Then again, what is mastery? I have seen certain prospects get promoted over the years who have not truly mastered anything, while others have dominated and remained in Chattanooga. What is your definition for earning a promotion (hitters & pitchers)? IMO how do you affect game outcomes on a regular basis? Do you walk all the time but never get to second base? Do you walk all the time but can't seem to hit? Do you walk all the time and affect outcomes with your base stealing? Etc. Etc. I promote prospects based on their ability to....................?
  5. As I posted - All 3 are Game Changers
  6. The Twins are not going to move anyone until they are sure they are done on the Trade market. The worst thing to do is move someone and have to re shuffle the whole deck because you released someone too early to make room for a traded player. No rush for the Twins. By the trade deadline or right after trades will they make wholesale promotions. No need to make extra moves if you do not have to. IMO
  7. Production from these guys is too "Powerful" to be overlooked and not tested at some point. As mentioned before - Walker has more home runs than the entire Twins outfield combined. That's CRAZY
  8. Unreal Power on Display Track record is that of a winner and run producers. If they don't work out - Send them to AAA. Miguel Sano and Adam Brett Walker both have their hitting weaknesses, but both also have EXTREME POWER as manager Doug Mientkiewicz expresses it. Both prospects despite their weaknesses seem to play for teams that win despite those weaknesses. Kepler has just figured "it" out. He is looking more like Mauer in his hay day than anybody I know. Mr. consistency. [doubles - triples - singles - to RF - LF - CF] - Gets it done! In the month of June Sano 20 Games .310 AVG .412 OBP .620 SLG 1.031 OPS 7 doubles / 5 home runs / 14 rbi Everything the Twins need during their offensive drought. Defense has been stellar as well. Kepler 24 Games .373 AVG .485 OBP .590 SLG 1.076 OPS 5 doubles / 5 triples / 1 home run / 17 rbi He hasn't shown game changing 1 swing power but he has shown Joe Mauer power (old Joe) Walker 24 Games .319 AVG .376 OBP .747 SLG 1.123 OPS 7 doubles / 1 triple / 10 home runs / 27 rbi The fact that he has more home runs and rbi than the entire Twins outfield put together is a shame. 22 home runs and 66 rbi is impressive. Which one of these prospects has the greatest opportunity to be a Game Changer tomorrow? 1 or all? What is there to really lose? DH / 1B / OF
  9. With the leader board being dominated by AA prospects, who can you see being promoted to AAA and who do you see getting sent down or released? Would influx of AA players to AAA increase Rochester's chance of making September playoffs? They are currently in playoff race now. Middle of the pack offensively in international league right now.
  10. What's going on with my Lookouts. Sano, Walker and Kepler seem to be the only players accounting for runs. Pitching has taken a turn for the worse again. Team ERA over 4+ is not good. On another note: Does anyone think upcoming moves are on the way in AA?
  11. 20 & 61 thru 68 games is pretty special or phenomenal as you say. Especially while holding a .900+ OPS 39 extra base hits in 68 games is equally amazing considering he strikes out so much and not all of those hits are homers. Intriguing prospect. Time for AAA. Why wait. Chatty fans love him.
  12. Kepler will be a viable option in the OF or 1B. He now leads the Southern League in triples with 7 and has 17 doubles. He hasn't shown much home run power, and might be a faster and younger version of Joe Mauer. Not a bad thing to be labeled with. [22 years old] Walker only gets credit for hitting homers, but he sits second in the Southern League in doubles with 17 as well. Anybody who hits 17 doubles and 18 homers is on my radar as a keeper. That is 37 extra base hits when you add his 2 triples. Dozier leads the MLB with 37 extra base hits. [23 years old] Harrison has fallen off some lately, but don't dismiss his potential and future contributions as well. When he hits it, he hits it hard. [22 years old] We need power in the line up somewhere and I would go with whoever can provide the most without being a total liability defensively. Buxton, Rosario, Walker, Kepler [dangerous group]
  13. I already lost Buxton in Chattanooga. I'm hoping they leave us with Sano, Berrios, Kepler, until at least Mid July. Fun to watch.
  14. ABW II is on fire in June with a .333 batting average, .371 OBP, .737 slugging, 1.108 OPS Those are AAA worthy numbers. No other Lookout has better numbers this month.
