  1. Triple layered Brie with blue cheese; and a Brie with apricots
  2. Had a great farmer’s market lunch … fresh radishes and celery, berries, crusty bread and cheese … so yummy
  3. Well, but that would be a family issue and that would be approved, unless he just left without going through channels
  4. He’s away from the team for an unapproved reason … again, hope he’s okay
  5. Usually this happens before they release a player, from what I read. Hope he’s okay whatever the problem is
  6. Yeah, a guy at work got side swiped while on his bike a few weeks ago and he’s still hurting. And he’s 30
  7. je suis très heureux d'avoir une journée à quatre coups aujourd'hui
  8. Agreed. Glad it didn’t result in more runs
  9. Restricted list often happens when they are about to release him? This isn’t good.
  10. And do what, IBB? I’d rather pitch to him and try for the out, but then, I don’t know if that’s the strategy either
  11. Well, that’s what I was trying to say … it could be the injury still bothers him
  12. Lol, I was just going to say that. My favorites!
  13. Okay, we got us a game! Two down, 25 to go! 🙂
  14. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. My Dad died 4.5 years ago and I miss him every day. We went to many a baseball game together. This is him and me about 50 yrs ago. 🙂
  15. Well, I get that. But hopefully the season between then is a win. Playing the long game 🙂
  16. They can’t just send him down at this point. He would have to go in the IL and then do a true rehab assignment. That’s what I would propose. But, in the meantime, he’s getting the day off today. Hoping yesterday’s awesome game helps motivate for this final one.
  17. I’m not sure what point you are making with this game, which we won. You seemed to miss the context of that post and responded with hyperbole and absolutism and created something I never said. I agree that I think this team underperforms, I’ve stated many times I think there is potential, but I also don’t think this team was ever a 90+ win team, but around .500 or slightly better (80-85 wins). So, what in yesterday’s game was off, mismanaged, caused them to what, win?
  18. I agree with all of that. I also want to see Kepler gone and replaced with Larnach and/ Wallner. I’m hoping the FO is giving this real effort.
  19. I get this take, in general, although it’s pretty silly to suggest the team philosophy is to close their eyes and swing. Assuming that was a bit of sarcasm due to frustrations about their offense, something you are not alone in. Many even predicted this at the beginning of the season. I still think the potential is there and not sure what the block is. We see glimpses then nothing. It’s been the source of most frustrations this year and the subject of many, many threads here. What I don’t get about this take is posting this in this recap thread after yesterday’s victory. We won. It was a great game of baseball. While yes, I get that some still are disappointed that we won because the offense wasn’t more entertaining, but I saw a great game of baseball (what I was able to watch). Surprisingly good pitching from a group that has let us down frequently, but didn’t yesterday, and some great defense, also something that has let us down on occasion, but didn’t yesterday. Pitching and defense are fun to watch when it clicks, and it did yesterday. I don’t understand why that one game can’t be celebrated despite the fact that the team still has some glaring problems, I guess for you we can’t,
  20. One game won’t tell that either way. It’s one game. But it is one we won. You seem disappointed we did.
  21. Yeah, some need more stimulation than a well-pitched game and some good defense including a great play at the plate. Short attention spans don’t make for great baseball fans.
