    Van, here you go ... hardly anyone here yet and I'm the only one so far in my section. Nice sun, winds from the south, I may take off my big fleecey outer layer before long, but so far it's gorgeous.

    Well, if you note the time stamp of when this thread was started, it was probably after that first inning. The poster obviously made his comment then didn't watch the rest of the game to retract it some. I call that ... premature something or other. That said, though ... Hughes should be watched very carefully and if he comes out of April, even into mid-May, poorly ... the hook shouldn't hesitate. But this was not the game for hook-calling, imo. And I liked Chief's assessment above. He wins the thread.

    Yeah, we've always stated in the past when people complained the threads weren't enough about baseball, that when there is good play, there is plenty of baseball talk. And there has been in the threads thus far. When there isn't we are easily .... SQUIRREL!!!

    Since I don't really like pizza, I was never in danger of that. If the topic were pie, I likely would've run out before the game even started.

    Rosario plays center fairly well. Kepler can also, in a pinch. We have backup CFers in both of them so if Bux would come out of a game, one of them would slide over.

    Maybe someone else would've scored us more runs at the plate. It's not a given, though, because we really don't know. But the White Sox absolutely would've had a ton more runs without him in the outfield, and that is for certain. So without Bux maybe we'd score more runs, but we'd for certain have given up more.

    Okay, right ... not what I was getting at ... I didn't know that replay was allowed to be used in a subjective situation like that. Even the Sox announcers questioned it. And they also said before and during it should be what it was so they weren't questioning the outcome, just the process.
