  1. The first car I actually owned was an '85 2-door Ford Escort, manual transmission. The second car I owned was a '94 Acura Integra, also a manual. The third and final car I've owned and still own is a '09 Mini Cooper convertible, still a manual transmission.
  2. What's the wind like there? Keep hearing the Sox announcers say how wicked it is today.
  3. We had a Nova at one time ... unfortunate name, imo. In Spanish it means 'no go' and it was pretty much a lemon. However, while in high school, the car I got to drive was my Dad's Skyhawk.
  4. And the Sox lineup is: Leury Garcia SS Tyler Saladino 2B Jose Abreu 1B Avisail Garcia RF Matt Davidson 3B Willy Garcia LF Yolmer Sanchez DH Kevan Smith C Jacob May CF
  5. Indeed
  6. Oh, and since Chief doesn't seem to be around to get it done ... WINNAH!
  7. ESan .... player of the game, imo. Chicken dinners all around!
  8. Well, by competing I wasn't thinking of that as borderline. Borderline, who knows. But if we are getting it done, and Santana is a huge part of that, I'm not sure you can just sell when you need that piece to continue the road you are on. If you are looking good for a playoff spot and beyond you have the keep the pieces that got you there and that hopefully will carry you beyond. But who knows.
  9. If the Twins are competing, they would become buyers not sellers, I would think.
  10. Hey, I'd be all for that ... Brock? And I'd work very hard at getting as many of the latter as possible!
  11. And Hawk just said about Sano: He has no problems with pop-ups.
  12. Wow, that was some kind of play. Can't believe I just quoted Hawk, but he got that one right.
  13. Ask and ye shall receive: He's topless today!
  14. Well, missed that ... was too busy posting on FB about driving around topless today in the gorgeous Chicago weather.
  15. Sox lineup is: Tim Anderson SS Avisail Garcia RF Jose Abreu DH Todd Frazier 3B Cody Asche 1B Yolmer Sanchez 2B Leury Garcia LF Omar Narvaez C Jacob May CF
  16. Holy cripes, Van! I didn't even mind that was long!
  17. I think you have now adopted him.
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCpCn0l4Wo
  19. And aggies just said it directly and to the sharpest of points.
  20. Um ... Nate Jones throws like Nate Jones ... not good. Why not just say that? I mean, most of the girls I played ball with were pretty damn good, so that reference makes no sense to me when you are trying to imply something less than good.
  21. Heh ... my POINT ... heh ... if you were truly being respectful, don't make the statement in the first place. Your preface tells me that you already know it's not respectful, so just don't use it, then you don't have to make phrases such as 'with all due respect' in order to backpedal what you already know is disrespectful.
  22. If you were really due-ing in all respect ... you would never make that reference. Just saying ... in all due respect.
  23. Actually, that was pretty close to the hat he chose to buy after hours of shopping. Just photoshop a TC logo in the middle of that front and center red flower and it would be spot on.
