  1. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO and HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Glad I decided to watch the game instead of shoe shopping.
  2. I don’t disagree with that feeling, that we’re not likely to win a playoff series. And not to delve into the pitching issues, because, well, off topic and there are many other threads on this. But this season is different for me than those others. I didn’t expect us to be here, at all. Given the team at the beginning of the season, I didn’t think we’d be even sniffing a WC spot, let alone a division win. With this team? Not expected at all. Those other teams in the 2000s were so close, just one piece away, and we all knew it and all expected it, and then thwarted, yet again. But this team? Completely out of the blue for me. Yeah, wish it were more, wish more were done for it, but it still is well beyond what I thought it would be. Not that that will win us anything and losing will still suck, it’s just different. And that out of the blue of it, has made it a surprising fun season for me.
  3. It’s more likely that they will bludgeon each other senseless. The winner will be the one that passes out last.
  4. How can I not say Rally Monkey? I mean, too obvious. But my second choice is the Yankees. Their starting rotation is in as much disarray as ours. I was having a discussion in y office yesterday with a Dodgers fan and a Yankees fan. Neither of them wants to face the Astros, either.
  5. MOD NOTE: Please keep to topic. We already have many threads discussing Gibson and discussing the BP. Graterol ... that is the topic ... will he be on the post season roster, should he be, what will his role be moving forward? Please keep it there ... at least for the first couple of pages of discussion. Thanks.
  6. Thanks ... I'm putting on a Bio-Freeze patch over night
  7. There were several of us who had it wrong ... whether it was luck or whether Rocco had a feeling or knew ... but we made it to the end.
  8. Top it off with a stop at Liquor Lyle's ... for old time's sake
  9. Yeah ... I'm thinking that's what I need ...
  10. Wow ... is right ... only word to say there. Guess Rocco had it right despite all our groans!
  11. I'm not certain he'll be on the post-season roster. By 'real' pitcher ... I meant not so fresh. The game is close enough that an experienced reliever would be my call. Not a recent call up.
  12. No way was Wade getting to that ... it was too short
  13. Well, it would be helpful if we had a real pitcher in there. I mean Graterol is great and will be good in the future ... but with a game this close, it wasn't the time for him.
  14. ****!!! Come on Twins! Don't blow this!!! Get a real reliever in there!
  15. Good to know we aren't the only team with those.
  16. Well, **** ... come on!!!! At least we got one on that. Sheesh.
  17. LET'S GO, LET'S GO <clap clap clapclapclap> LET'S GO, LET'S GO <clap clap clapclapclap>
  18. He was out for a good chunk, wasn't he?
  19. Depends on who we have in the outfield.
