The White Sox don’t have a managerial opening. They’ve already stated publicly they want Renteria to continue in that role. I haven’t heard that Renteria doesn’t want to stay.

They won’t go back to ‘unjuiced’ baseballs until the Yankees hold the record.
  3. Squirrel
They did already. It was their season opener. I was conveniently out of town.

This x 1000. Last we needed was an extra inning game. Winning today made no difference to anything. Yost is an honorable guy, glad he gets to leave on a win.
  5. Squirrel
    The Yankees then the Astros

Unless you are on the balcony of the condo next door, you aren’t making it through the window. And that was a very weird sentence.

Lol, now I hear ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ through the window. Have to say, though, the live version was much louder.

I’ve seen, and concur that I’m also glad you don’t know how to post it here.

By when do rosters have to be set for the ALDS?

I’ve got the Twins on TV and am listening to the Bears-Vikings game through my open window.

    C’mon, Perez!

Concur, however, sound check rehearsal is different from practicing.

Yeah, as a lefty out of the pen, I can buy that. And I think that is the plan ... or was before Gibson’s illness became too overwhelming and Pineda’s suspension. But we have a Berrios, Odorizzi, Dobnak ... that will be our starting rotation for the ALDS.

Seriously, don’t take everything so seriously. :eye roll:

I want to win games first and foremost, as that’s what counts most. While a record is nice to get, it just doesn’t matter to me ... winning games does. So, if that’s the trade off, a record for a championship? I’ll take the championship any day of the week, and Sundays. Of course it’s nice to beat the Yankees anywhere, anyhow. Wasn’t what I meant. I just don’t care as much about a record as I do about winning baseball games in the post season.

The company, Bombas, should make a promotional ad using the Bomba squad! I’m a huge fan of bombas and of Bombas.

Heh, I just thought it would be a fun thread if everyone posted some of their favorite highlights. That said, I’m fine with the Yankees winning the home run title, as long as we beat them in the ALDS.

Lol @ the thread title. The area here is busy with people. I saw a guy all dressed in Viking purple. I heard the National Anthem being rehearsed. (Yes, I'm that close to Soldier Field.) And the weather is definitely Fall-like. Good day for a football game ... but I’ll be watching the Twins game, and then meeting a friend for dinner. But SKOL Vikings!

If you scroll down to the bottom of your screen, you’ll see a list under the heading ‘Utilities’. There’s a help section there. It may not give you all the details, but will certainly point you in the right direction for most things.

I thought his injury had him out for the rest of the season, including post-season. Maybe I read that wrong?

Locate the video you want on youtube. Copy the url. Paste the url in your post, surrounded by {media}url{/media}. But instead of using { } <---those kinds of brackets, use these---> [ ]
  22. Squirrel
lol ... I have my windows open ... and whoever is singing the National Anthem at today's Bears-Vikings game is practicing. Guess I'll hear that again in 3 hours.
  23. Squirrel
That's fine ... telling us is good
  24. Squirrel
No. i was hoping for the game thread to be filled with highlight videos, not highlighter videos.
  25. Squirrel
It kind of is ... but I look at it as a firing if there is still time left on the contract. This was more of a ... 'non-renew' ... but the end result is the same. He's done after today's game.
