  1. Finally someone pitched to Shaw like the career sub .250 hitter that he is and not ted bleeping Williams
  2. Why in gods name can we not pitch to people like sandy bleeping Leon and Myles bleeping straw?
  3. Can’t miss these chances against the biebs
  4. That should be it for archer. The thorn bird is gonna have to wear it. At least he’s well rested
  5. Ok now he’s walking top of the order guys. Somehow doesn’t feel any better
  6. Archer has completely and totally lost it
  7. Walking 7-8-9. Really interesting strategy there
  8. Naylor has taken a home run cut on every single swing this series. He couldn’t catch up with the higher fastballs from cotton, and cotton decided to put a cookie down the middle
  9. Late inning relievers must be able to throw strikes. They just have to. Or they can’t get those innings. Fail with someone else and it wouldn’t hurt as bad.
  10. Seriously, it would have been so nice to get some breathing room after all these games. It feels like the twins are so much better than Cleveland but here we are only 2 games ahead and it’s July 1 on Friday
  11. I’m lost at the most basic of new age stats so I couldn’t comment on a made up one. I do know that not many managers would have done what Rocco did tonight. In a way you almost have to applaud the gall of it. Like “he can’t possibly blow another one AGAIN can he?”. I said somewhere else that he’s lucky he manages where he does and not some place out here on the east coast. if you’re going to fail, fail with someone else. Anyone else. At least no one could blame you for trying.
  12. You’re fighting an uphill battle here, but I admire it. Funny, I’m known as a baldelli hater on this board but I have no problem saying that his bullpen management was impeccable right up to the point where he decided to tempt the gods. He made the right moves up to that point, even pinch hitting. But some pro Baldelli posters won’t admit this was an inexcusable decision tonight.
  13. Respectfully, managers can do nothing to assure wins. But they can certainly do things to increase their team’s chances of winning. Putting Pagan in did not do that in the least. Cotton gave up the home run, but I would even trust him more to throw strikes in that situation. That’s what sank pagan. Falling behind. The umpire’s zone shrank but the close pitches were balls. it’s simply impossible to absolve the manager here.
  14. Fool me one, shame on you. Fool me 4 times in 10 days, shame on…? I’m not even mad, it’s simple managerial incompetence.
  15. Hasn’t pitched since Saturday, I believe. Rocco is lucky he manages in minnesota and not the east coast or he’d be toast. Put anyone else in. Anyone. If it fails it fails
  16. Rocco had a perfect night managing the bullpen until that move.
