    Is there a star for how many games in which a team flat out quits? I’d guess we’d be in the top ten.

    Teams have been getting heat for intentionally assembling a non competitive roster. We needed starters and the only other acquisitions were archer and bundy. I doubt it serves management to assemble just a completely horrific roster especially after last year

    Alarming we have so many of these games where the twins just aren’t competitive and quit halfway through the game.

    If the twins don’t narrow this deficit, it will be the 4th time in their last 8 games they’ve lost by 6 or more runs

    Part of it is that we’re so desperate for one of our young arms to produce SOMETHING that we (myself included) got fooled into thinking he’s some kind of ace because he has largely looked more competent than guys like Ober, smeltzer, etc. It’s a low bar to look better than most of our young “pipeline” pitchers though

    I’m more sad for players who weren’t given years of chances to improve and/or prove themselves. Miguel has had more than enough chances. Even if he goes and stars for another team, the twins gave him plenty of opportunity to succeed here

    I hear second place a-comin, it’s rolling round the bend and I ain’t seen a winning streak since I don’t when We’re stuck in mediocrity, and the season keeps dragging on

    now officially down to a 2 game lead with over 60 games left. I wouldn’t be surprised if we finish 5-10 games back of one or both Chicago and Cleveland. The pitching is that bad. No trades for anyone who can’t help beyond this year. I don’t think the twins system is so stacked with prospects that we can just ship out the few good ones we have, is it?

    Not sure about that man. Problem is our pitching is so bad that we’re almost guaranteed to NOT go on a big winning streak (think greater than 5 games). Haven’t really done it all year. All it will take is one of the other teams to get hot and we’ll be overtaken. Remember Cleveland had us down to one game lead

    I mean, yeah I’m sure you could find that many people who throw pitches. Highly doubtful you’re going to find that many above average arms. How many teams are still alive? 20? Lots of buyers
