  1. I'd like to see more data on what types of lefty pitching Wallner and Larnach hit better. For example, maybe they can't hit offspeed but hit fastballs decent.
  2. Yeah...0-4...but it could have been a lot worse!
  3. Saw most of the game but I missed where Julien was positioned when we lost the SB challenge. He was late to the bag...was he shifted 1st base side? Or just slow to the bag? Definitely a lot of positives though in kind of a weird game.
  4. I guess my point was...these guys have the ability to hit. But it's easier said then done. Consistency is what keeps guys in the bigs...it is never a given.
  5. So frustrating. He showed signs of hitting it the other way but just can't help himself. Does he not know he's huge and if he hits the ball it will be a missile?
  6. The gaslight district is fierce...
  7. Great win. But maybe it's time to pull names out of a hat for a game or two for the lineup. Some of those guys could make diamonds out of coal right now. They might just need to breath and have some fun for a minute.
  8. My comp for him has always been Carlos Pena. Which isn't bad. And...YES! Have him in the lineup every day!
  9. Man. Had an opportunity to watch him pitch with tickets right behind home plate. Other people thought I was crazy, but I always said Liriano was better than Santana pre-injury. I mean...2 foot swing and misses were normal against his slider. Such a bummer.
  10. I'm guessing the Twins use a spring training approach with CC and BB. Start playing catch soon (if they are not already), then long toss and batting practice, followed by a week long rehab stint. Maybe 10 games left in the season before they return...unless, like others have mentioned, we lose our WC lead.
  11. For having such a down year, Pablo still has a chance of getting his ERA in the 3s and 200Ks...
  12. Well...looking ahead: 1) Our remaining schedule isn't too bad. 2) Need to start paying attention to NYY and Baltimore...we end with Baltimore. Hopefully the east is settled by then. 3) KC appears to have a much tougher remaining schedule, and we play them 3 more games. KC ends with Atl. 4) KC and Cleveland play 3 more times. 5) Cleveland ends with Houston...hopefully Seattle puts pressure on them (Houston) all the way to the end.
  13. Would be sweet if we could have ownership like the Packers. (Puked in mouth saying that)
  14. You send Festa out hoping to God you get an inning. An out. Because your bullpen...has not been trustworthy.
  15. This game is brought to you by the letter F. As in: F the FO F Rocco Can't blame Margot or Caleb. They are trying their best. Problem is they should be home watching from their couch.
  16. This is an excellent blueprint of how you lose close ball games, from FO down. Collective effort. Impressive.
  17. I like Festa getting a chance to start the inning. Rocco took him out after the walk...good. Bringing in the thielbar? ... ... ...
  18. how much did it cost us? don't see why not to do this...the more options we have, the better. Are there AAA options involved?
  19. MLB: Fred McGriff, Mike Stanton NBA: DeAngelo Russell, Kobe agreed, but it never happened. Bradley Beal. Not saying it is likely-but it is possible.
  20. Yunior Severino. Switcher hitter. The question is...can he field a ground ball at 2B?
  21. Good point. And obviously a team would have to be in love with CC. But the 5 teams I listed are contenders and/or large cities...not horrible situations by any means.
  22. Can someone please explain to me why teams put a heavy infield shift on vs. lefties when the pitcher throws 100+?
  23. Another example of a hypothetical Correa trade: Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman, and prospects. Use SOME of saved money on pitching...such as...________ A ton of FA out there. Also maybe an Amed Rosario. Maybe shoot for saving $10.
